This sounds right up my alley, what's it from?
this is from today’s episode of The Hidden Almanac! which is basically a show where deep-voiced-guy-in-plague-doctor-suit-and-probable-eldritch-abomination Reverend Mord talks about the history and hagiography of his world, and also gives gardening advice (a lot of which is actual real useful advice, and some of which is ... not). and then sometimes he is annoyed by Pastor Drom, his fellow professor at the Ravencoast School of Divinity (and his best friend, although he would absolutely never admit that), a Highly Chaotic tequila-loving middle-aged professional miracle worker and sometime self help book author with very little sense of ethics and a penchant for doing horrible dark magic just to see what will happen (in this case, raising her boss’s grandmother from the dead and taking her on a wild casino vacation so that she’ll convince her grandson to give Drom her job back after she was suspended for having been arrested again)
what I’m saying is, this is a very good show
also it’s made by hugo-award-winning author and webcomic artist Ursula Vernon and her husband Kevin so like, it’s got that quality fantasy pedigree. it also has a truly ridiculous backlog because it’s 4-minute episodes three times a week and has been running since 2013 (like, there are so many episodes now that the first year or so of the show has dropped off the iTunes feed, which is less podcast than it sounds like because the episodes are so short but still) but if you want something relaxing and lovely and light on plot in favor of being heavy on worldbuilding and bickering friendship, I very much recommend it
