YES! It was so fun! I really loved the nods to Scooby's past adventures! And the Hex Girls posters were so cool! The big haunted mansion towards the end of the story had to be my favorite though! The final part was really cool, too, with making the museum!

Happy April Fools Day! To celebrate, I'd like you to share your DMC crack theories.
Hi Anon! đź’–
Not necessarily a canon related crack theory, but in relation to the crack ship I came up with ages ago (Jestus), I do headcanon that the reason Arkham wanted to get Sparda's power was to try and win over Sanctus.
Writing prompts (your choice of one): Nero is mysteriously summoned to Devil May Cry. Dante is not there, but Vergil is. OR Dante and Vergil reminisce about how they always wanted a certain type of pet as kids.
Thanks Roland! đź’– I decided to go with the first prompt! Sorry it took so long, and I hope you enjoy! (I might do the other prompt later though and @ you when/if I do!) I also added a bit of angst to this as well with having it be a conversation about Sparda and Eva.
Without any further ado, here is The Call of the Father!
Nero thought it was strange that his uncle left him a note rather than just call him as he normally does. He looked the note over again as he walked towards Dante’s office.
Nero,
There is something that I want to discuss with you. Come to Devil May Cry at noon today. I will see you then.
The stationary matched that of the kind Trish used to keep in the office, and had stains of grease on it from pizza, most likely due to Dante’s own habit of leaving things where they shouldn't belong. The young demon hunter sighed as he brushed his hand through his hair.
“If this is some kind of prank Dante is trying to pull on me, I am just going to leave.” he said aloud to himself as he passed the payphone just outside of his uncle’s place of work. He then walked to the door, pausing a moment to prepare himself for whatever his uncle was planning before opening it to find something that was more of a shock to him.
“It’s about time you showed up. I was beginning to think that I would have to go find you myself.” His father said from his place on the old brown leather couch. Nero stood confused for a few seconds before coming inside.
“Where did you learn how to tell time? It’s only 11:50, I’m ten minutes early.” Nero replied to his father as he closed the door behind him.
“Then why does the clock say-?” Vergil began as Nero cut him off.
“This is Dante’s office, just how trustworthy do you think half of the tech in here is? That clock has been broken for months. Morrison has been trying to find someone to fix it.” He said as he sat at his uncle’s desk.
“So, what did you want to talk to me about? Is there a job I need to help with?” Nero asked his father as he kicked his feet onto the desk.
“No, it isn’t a job, but my brother has told me that you wanted to know more about our family. Is that correct?” Vergil said as he picked up his cup of coffee from the end table. Nero perked up at this, Dante always avoided the question every time he tried to ask about it or brushed him off by saying that is all in the past.
“Why now? And why are you the one telling me?” Nero asked as he looked his father in the eyes, waiting for a response. Vergil placed his cup back down on the saucer and leaned back as he ran his hand through his hair to push it back.
“It’s close to the day that we lost your grandmother. Dante wanted to go back to what’s left of our childhood home. He asked me to tell you everything as he made travel arrangements, and to see if you would want to go with us. Kyrie and your spawn as well.” The blue clad man replied as he glanced over to his son.
“What made you two decide to do that?” Nero asked as he took his feet off of the oak desk and leaned in towards his father’s direction.
“Dante wanted to put things to rest, and I agreed with him.” Vergil said as he got up from his seat.
“Okay… so… where are you going to start? I’ve heard enough about Sparda from The Order over the years, unless you have anything else to add on to it.” Nero said as his father approached him at the desk.
“I figured that it would be best to start there, and then… to your grandmother.” Vergil said with a bit of sadness in his voice as he picked up the framed picture from the desk. The young devil hunter nodded as he looked up at his father.
“Your grandfather, he was much like the stories told of him said. He was a legendary swordsman… but he was more than that. He was a father… stern at times, but just in how he handled his two sons. He adored your uncle and I, despite Dante driving him insane.” Vergil explained as he gripped the hilt of the Yamato.
“And my grandmother? What was she like?” Nero asked as he listened intently to his father’s words. Vergil took a few moments to collect himself once again before continuing on.
“In truth, Kyrie reminds me a lot of her. She was kind, but she never allowed Dante and me to fight to the point at which we do now. She would probably have done what you did a few years ago had she been here.”
Nero chuckled at this, thinking back to their fight on the Qliphoth and how he had to stop his father and uncle from killing each other.
“She and your grandfather both enjoyed literature, something that I must have inherited more than my brother.” He said as he picked up one of the adult magazines from Dante’s desk and placed it in the trashcan nearby.
“What else did they like?” Nero asked eagerly as he sat at the edge of his seat.
“Your grandfather loved to cook, surprisingly enough. Your grandmother loved to keep a garden so that they could work together on meals.”
“He cooked? Was it actually good?”
“Sometimes it was, but other times, well… let’s just say that your grandmother had back up meals ready if things went south.” Vergil said, making his son laugh once again. The older demon smiled at his son.
“They would have loved you were they still here…”
Nero paused his laughter at his father’s words. He looked down at his own hands.
“Do you really think so…?” Nero asked as rubbed his nose.
“I assure you they would have. In truth, they would have liked you more than your uncle and me.” Vergil said as a few tears fell from his eyes. Nero got up from his seat and hugged his father. Vergil wrapped his arms around his son as they both wept. Vergil, for what he had lost, and Nero, for what he had gained.
The Hydra: A Devil Breaker themed after Hydreigon. It is capable of blasting demons to shreds through blasts of pressurized water forced out of inner tanks due to Nero’s demonic aura. Somewhat like the Iron Aggression, it can also be used for close combat where the three heads latch onto a demon and use Nero’s energy to rip it apart.

Writing promt: The sparda boys stuck in their DT. (angst or wholesome. I can't pick so I'll leave it to you.)
Thanks @agriffincalledivory! đź’– So sorry for this being answered like a week later! Stuff got kinda hectic at home between Christmas shopping and other things going on (moving around and stuff related), but I hope you enjoy this! (I leaned on the wholesome side)
It was supposed to be a day like any other for our three ancestors of Sparda, but fate had other plans for them. The three had just fought hard against their demonic foes, only to find an issue when they tried to get out of their Devil Trigger states. Lost and out of options, the boys return to Fortuna to ask Kyrie for help.
…
“Kyrie, I’m back! But… Don’t freak out, ok?” The young quarter demon called out to his lover as he waited in the doorway for her.
“Why would I freak out, Nero? What’s-” She spoke as she rounded the corner into the living room, finally setting eyes on whom she assumed to be her beloved.
“Nero…?” She asked as she cautiously came closer to him.
“Yeah, things didn’t exactly go as planned today…” The boy said as he nervously rubbed his nose.
“Are you hurt anywhere?” she asked as she went out into the garage with him, shutting the door behind her. She then began to look Nero over to check for any injuries.
“Nah, this isn’t like the time my arm first changed into the Devil Bringer Kyrie, I’m alright.” He said as a means to try and reassure her.
“Yeah, but we can’t be sticking around in these states for long, otherwise we’ll get hunted down like the poor saps we hunt.” Dante chimed in, making Kyrie realize that both he and Vergil were there as well. She looked at them perplexed for a few moments.
“Mr. Dante? Mr. Vergil?”
“In the flesh. But to cut a long story short, do you know if there’s any kind of archive that we could look into as a means of fixing us?” The red demon asked.
“There should be a few documents that The Order kept in their secret archives, but most of them were destroyed in the incident a few years ago…” She replied.
“Could you come with us and help us look through the documents? I’m worried we might accidentally destroy the archives like this…” Nero asked as he scratched the back of his head.
“Of course, just let me ask Nico to watch the kids, and we can go.” Kyrie said with a smile as she turned to head back inside. Nero then gently took her hand, causing her to turn back towards him.
“Kyrie… if this doesn’t work… would you be ok with seeing me like this…?”
She stood there for a moment, thinking about what Nero had just said. She then took her love into her embrace.
“Nero… You know I don’t care about any of that… it’s as I have told you before, you’re one of the most human people I know… and I love you regardless of anything related to your demonic heritage.” She said as she held him close to her.
“This is touching and all, but, we kinda need to get this fixed.” Dante chirped, causing Nero to give him a glare.
“Let me go talk to Nico, and we can go.” Kyrie said, following it up with a quick kiss on the cheek that caught Nero off guard. He watched her as she went back inside to tell Nico their situation.
