Gabin and Philippe as kids
Blondes have more fun 🩸
how abusive is Anne to the servants
She’s just rude and pushy to them, occasionally raises her voice at them, she’s only verbally abusive to them. Her husband is the real piece of work, verbally and emotionally abusive to them, threatens to fire them over every little inconvenience. Not helped by the fact that some of the servants are young girls/women and are regularly harassed by both him and his son.

Thanks for replying to my ask and wow. The servants are no better than Anne Louise. They're literally turning a blind eye to child abuse even though sisley is a child and isn't responsible for her awful mother's decisions.
Of course, anon! I miss talking about Sybaritic with you guys and your asks brighten my day!^^
Yeah, I made it that way cuz knowing how much anger and resentment the working class/peasants had towards the rich towards the point where not even children were spared in the reign of terror (Look it up, I’m not kidding.) I felt like it would’ve been more brutal and frighteningly realistic if the servants knew but did nothing out of spite. They hate all the Alarie-Sade family members, Sisley is the least hated in their eyes because she never does anything to them, but they still have no sympathy
The servants were taxed to all hell like the other poor folks at the time, couldn’t afford necessities like Bread, verbally abused and mistreated by Sisley’s parents on a daily basis, living in cramped and uncomfortable conditions, hasn’t made them the nicest people. Honestly with how harsh their lives were, especially during a time like this, you can see why they became so hot-blooded and spiteful. Doesn’t excuse their actions AT ALL, of course.
man, I know she's a fictional character but it's extremely easy to be mad at Anne, she's supposed to protect Sisley and yet here she is.
Sisley has been failed by a lot of people around her.
The servants don’t care for the abuse, seeing it as either discipline or justified mistreatment for being born into nobility (the working class had a lot of animosity towards any rich person during this time, even children of the rich.). People who know her and her other family members either don’t know or don’t care, and ofc we can’t forget about the two other people in her household making her life more difficult than it has to be…
Anne-Louise ain’t gonna be the only parent/character you’re gonna be mad at in this story. Strap in.
Does Gabin let Madeleine hit him or is it nonconsensual assault ?
Ok so, haha, Madeleine is actually a VERY small character. She plays little-to-no importance in the story, I only added her in that space because 1. I was running out of characters and 2. I want to make her the most noticeable out of all the gals Gabin courted- since she is the most popular girl in their circle and they’ve known each other for the longest.
Madeleine and Gabin have known each other since they were both children and she would beat him up any time he was acting like a bitch cos Gabin was a spoiled and rude little shit growing up.
Has she ever beaten up Gabin as an adult? As far as I’ve planned, no. But she won’t hesitate to if he tries something, however he hasn’t bc he knows better now…
