The flight felt both long and short; the hours blended together so seamlessly that amid the excitement and anxiousness of the situation, Yashiro barely noticed that the plane was already descending to land. More than anyone else, he needed to touch the ground to ground himself in the moment and fully realize that every step leading to this point was not just careful planning but a testament to the true commitment he and Jihyun shared.
His hand was intertwined with Jihyun's from the moment they left the house until they arrived at the hotel, as if letting go would mean the moment would slip away and he would wake up from this dream.
The island was unlike any place he had ever seen; the water was a stunning turquoise blue, with gentle waves lapping at the shore in a soothing rhythm. The resort's cabins appeared to float on the surface of the water, enhancing the serene atmosphere.
They shared the same hotel room, but the following day, after their arrival, they made their way to the beach where the wedding ceremony would take place. Though their cabins were adjacent, they provided enough privacy for them to prepare at the same time. Yashiro gazed at his wedding attire hanging before himâwhite, immaculate, and made of the softest fabric. Taking a deep breath, he sat on the couch near the window and focused on his vows, which he had diligently written over the past few weeks. Suddenly, a knock on the door snapped him back to reality, and he opened it to let in the makeup artist and hairstylist.
