Why was he assigned to watch over idols? It beat him. But if Hyungteo'd learnt anything throughout the years, it was the valuable lesson that orders weren't to be questioned, but executed. Whether his boss wanted to venture into entertainment as well, or he had other reasons to lend his services to such companies, was none of his business. After all, it was far more relaxing to follow these boys around than protect men who walked with a target glued to the back of their heads. And they were pretty too. Gorgeous. Which was a perk in itself. Especially that Jihyun boy. No wonder people were stepping on each other to get the chance to breathe the same air as him.
Hyungteo didn't exactly feel in his element in those glitzy rooms, around fancy clothes and bright lights and piles upon piles of make-up products. Those shifts felt longer than most he could think of, but he didn't let the boredom show. Professional as ever. With some exceptions here and there, when he felt like infusing some fun into the endeavour. He had followed the whole dolling up process with some curiosity, a tinge of awe too at the complexity of it all. If he were to be honest, he preferred that boy's bare face, but obviously his opinion interested no one, so he was keeping his thoughts to himself.
He was in a mood that day. Surely to no one's benefit other than his own. As soon as the make-up artist left the room, Hyungteo hunched forward, wondering what kind of thoughts were going through that beautiful head. What could possibly preoccupy Jihyun at that moment? Surely something that had to do with the upcoming photoshoot, which was a pretty pointless thing to think about in Hyungteo's book. Leisurely, he dragged the boy's chair close to his own, an amused grin tugging at his lips when meeting those big eyes staring at him. Like a deer in the headlights. "Relax. I jus' wanted to see your make-up up close." He couldn't hold the other's gaze, not with those plush lips mere inches away. And the man made no effort not to stare, not a single attempt. "Pretty. Very pretty."
