Making this extremely nerdy post this morning to say that I cannot believe I had a chance to be a part of yesterday's Sword Experience workshop taught by Adrian Paul at #GrandRapidsComicCon! 💥 My awesome partner @coshade gifted this experience to me for my birthday since I'm a life-long Highlander fan, and we've both trained in martial arts as well as doing our fair share of stage combat. 🤺 Many of you may not know that I studied karate for almost 15 years. In that time, sparring was my specialty, and I had just cracked the surface of sword form. Nowadays, I do a lot of kickboxing, but it's been a bit since I picked up a weapon. Doing the workshop yesterday made me have that rush again.
