ECHO Gaster Project 1/2
A few of my favorite frames, both used and unused, I created for The ECHO Gaster Project.
I joined this project with no Gaster design in mind and having only drawn a Gaster once before. I ended up challenging myself by making him more of a realistic skeleton covered in a tar-like goop. He was lovingly nicknamed Swolster for the project by dear @techcat-mod, and I’m still laughing about it.
My final count of body assets, used and unused, ended up at, 12 different Expressions/Heads, 14 different Arms(Not including the ones I copy-pasted over for symmetrical frames), and 3 custom multi armed frames! Whoo! Lots of fun combinations since everything was on it’s own layer so I could try out different expressions and poses.I knew from the start that not all my frames would be used since it had so many people in the project, but I made a bunch of arm and expression combos to give the creators of the video plenty of variety to choose from for most any situation. Because of this I had many, MANY layers. (Fun fact, Paint Tool Sai caps layers at 256!) I drew my art in ClipStudioPaint and did some minor editing in Photoshop. Those programs are great for me since I ended up color coding layers/folders when export time came around.For my last few words I’d like to thank the ECHO Group as a whole! Everyone I interacted with was super nice and very supportive of each other. It was so fun being a part of this project and I hope all of you have bright successful futures creating more amazing things!
