#FBF to earlier in August when the #SwissCupBasel was cancelled due to Covid. Flash forward to today when it’s back on again. Sort of. The 2.0 Cup is underway in the same venue w/ teams from Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, and Sweden. There’s livestream coverage (Team Schwaller vs Team Stern—yes, women’s teams are competing against men’s teams), although no word yet on when I’ll get to see 🐐 @niklasedin & @teamniklasedin as the featured game on YouTube. @svenskcurling ‘s Team Nyman vs Team Petoud is the featured game next draw: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mDda3w1sS7s . . Curious to see how many layers 🐐 will wear over his jersey and if his trusty blue hat will be on his head all weekend long the way it’s been all season so far in both team and mixed doubles play. I’m even more curious to see if my #Icevengers can pull off the 3peat win. They’ve won the Swiss Cup Basel twice before during even numbered years (2016 & 2018). It may be called the 2.0 Cup this year, but it would be nice if the Swedes can pull off the win nonetheless. . . It seems that pandemic policies could be changing in Europe. They face off against Team Paterson next, another 3-0 team w/ a similar tournament record - scoring 24 points total and allowing only 5 points from their opponents total. Both teams had games that ended after 4 ends yesterday - Edin vs Muskatewitz (11-1) and Paterson vs Schwaller (7-0). . . Will there be another massacre on the ice this morning? If so, who will be victorious and who will be the victim? 🤔 . .
