i’m sorry but i will never get over the fact that this random cbs show from 2008 features the ONLY stable and healthy polyamory i have ever seen in media to date. AND ONE OF THEM IS LANA PARRILLA.

i added a bunch of songs from the swingtown soundtrack onto the work playlist bc they’re bangers. problem is every time one plays my lizard brain goes “i think we should rewatch swingtown now”

tom is literally such a king. he wasn’t even flirting with janet on purpose but as soon as she told him it was making her uncomfortable he said “my bad won’t happen again” AND did it in a way that still made her feel good even at the expense of embarrassing himself

something about the sense of loss i feel every time i finish swingtown and realize that’s it. there’s no more story. trina and tom and janet and susan and laurie and doug and rick and samantha just stop existing. what am i supposed to do now

it’s the fact that janet has grown so much over the course of the show and actually became a better mother for it. look me in the eyes and tell me the janet from episode 1 would have such a tender, understanding conversation with rick if he got wasted at her party. she is a NEW WOMAN.
