1. If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, which book would you choose?

For starters what kind of an evil world are we living in where I can only read one book because I do not like it one bit. The easy one would be Harry Potter but as much as I love it - and I hope that I can continue to read it for an awful long time to com - but I think if I only had one book, forever, I would have to choose The Princess Bride. It's my all time favourite book ever and its the only book I can read no matter what my mood.

2. Tell us a defining moment in your life.

I want to say something very profound, and I have had a lot profound moments but I have to say that the defining moment of my life was when I first watched Star Wars. I was about 8, on Friday nights the network TV channels all played movies and if they played something my mum liked she would let me stay up to watch it. To be honest I was not really interested in watching something called Star Wars but I was pretty excited to be able to stay up late. Little did I realise that that night would change my life. Star Wars was the first fandom I entered into, the first thing I became obsessed with. It basically made me the person I am today and it never would have happened if I didn't want to stay up late on a Friday night.

3. What was your last dream about?

I don't really remember many of my dreams but I think it has something to do with living in the ocean. I think there were sea horses also a recording studio... I don't know why it was underwater but it seemed logical at the time. Or that might have been a different dream. Either way it's not good.

4. Do you consider yourself a good cook?

I wish I was but I dont have the patience. 

5. Who’s your favorite person to hang out with?

I don't think I can answer that. I love hanging out with all my friends but I guess right now I wish I was hanging out with Steph.

6. What’s your favorite childhood memory?

I think the Star Wars story pretty much covered this. 

7. Do you have any tattoos?

Nope. I can't even commit to an outfit for an entire day let alone a tattoo. I do want one though, if I can ever commit. 

8. What’s your favorite movie?

It's a tie between Rear Window and Empire Records. Although The Avengers might need to be added in there now.  

9. Name your top 3 TV Shows.

Supernatural, Doctor Who and Firefly.

10. Song currently stuck in your head?

"ifly" by Ball Park Music.

11. What is your most cherished possession?

I won't waste your time. I can't think of an answer for this.

1. Is Tumblr the only site you use for fandom-related things? If not, where else do you go?

Mostly just Tumblr. I was on livejournal and a bunch of specific forums but Tumblr kind of took over my life. I talk to certain cool people on Facebook sometimes though. 

2. What was the first fandom you ever got involved in?

I answered this one above... it was in course Star Wars. 

3. Aside from the first one you had, was there a preliminary fandom that really got you into reading/writing/drawing or just even participating?

I think the first fandom I was actively involved in, in that I started writing fan fiction and engaging in ship wars and all those kinds of things was Harry Potter but it was followed pretty closely by Buffy. 

4. What is your current fandom?

I have to pick just one? I guess I'm kind of an Avengers blog at the moment. 

5. Do you consider yourself a Shipper (i.e. do you get into fandom for ships or for something else?) And why/why not?

Yes I would consider myself a Shipper because I usually seem to find romantic relationships in whatever I am watching or reading. This isn't always true though (I'm not really a shipper in the Hunger Games fandom). 

When I was younger I used to be a bit crazy in defence of my OTP but in my old age I have softened. I don't care what you ship. In fact I like arguing with people about various different ships... So if you disagree with me about a certain couple don't hesitate to tell me why but be warned once I get into an argument I will never stop. lol. 

That said I don't like to get into ship wars anymore. Honestly as far as I am concerned if they exist (in fiction) they can have sex. 

6. What was your first OTP? Why?

Like I said above I have always been a shipper, even before I knew what shipping was but I think my first big ship was Ron/Hermione in the Harry Potter fandom. I don't know how many of you were in the fandom in the early days, when the Internet was all new and innocent, but it had some INSANE ship wars. It was the first time I remember getting into huge fights with people from the same fandom. 

And why? Well I know it's boring to ship cannon heterosexual couples but I just love these two. I've always been a fan of the Taming of Shrew style romances that come from anger and annoyance which it turns out is just a symptom of the fact that they love each other. The fact that Hermione is Ron's home - it's a war time romance so it's simple and that's why I love it.

7. What is/are your current OTP(s)? Why?

I'm guessing this is from TV shows that are currently airing because I still have many OTP's from shows that have long since gone... but then this list would be even more ridiculously long. 

Ok let's do this - 

Dean/Cas (Supernatural) - because they have a more profound bond. 

Quinn/Rachel (Glee) - because they are the only consistent relationship on that god damn show... and they have more chemistry than any of the real couples. 

Sherlock/John (Sherlock) - because, does this one even need explaining.

Damon/Elena (The Vampire Diaries) - because it is a love that consumes them. 

Eric/Sookie (True Blood) - because urgh... just look at them. 

Mary/Matthew (Downton Abbey) - these two will be the death of me! Honestly so much angst and they are so British which just makes it worse.

Steve/Tony (The Avengers) - I think this one has been argued to death and even though I was an X-men girl as far as comics go, I always had a soft spot for these two. 

8. Pick a fandom: tell me what attracted you to it/what got you interested/involved?

Let's go with Supernatural shall we... For this you have a lovely lady by the name of Steph. She took me into her home for Christmas when I was alone in a foreign country and in return I agreed to watch a couple of episodes of her new favourite show, which was of course Supernatural. All I needed was one look at Dean's lips, a double helping of angst and I was completely hooked. 

As for my actual involvement in the Fandom I guess I have Tumblr to thank for that. And Tessa. She was the old that told me there was a crazy fanbase out there just waiting for me to join its ranks. 

9. Do the same as #8 with a chosen OTP.

Mary/Matthew (Downton Abbey) because it doesn't get talked about much and because I am currently re-watching Downton Abbey. 

I loved this ship because it's so self destructive... and self-destructive romances are my favourite kind of romances. Sure the world isn't really helping their problems what with the great wall but really these two just cause their own trouble because they are both so stubbon. 

I get into arguments with my mum all the time because she doesn't like Mary... I know she's selfish and she makes a hell of a lot of mistakes and doesn't often think about the consequences of her decisions but I think that's why I love her. So when I saw the awkward British chemistry happening between her an Matthew I was hooked line and sinker!

While part of me wants them to be happy, another part of me wants them to have more angst just because I love the feels. 

10. Is there a ship/fandom that everyone on Tumblr seems to really like that you don’t understand or can’t get into? What is it?

There are not many ships that I can't actually see where they come from. I get it most of the time, even if I don't agree I can understand where they are coming from. The only ships that rile me up (I have them blacklisted) are Harry/Hermine, Buffy/Riley and Bill/Sookie... but they aren't particularly popular, thank goodness.

11. Is there a ship/fandom that YOU like that NO-ONE on tumblr likes? Tell me why I should ship it :)

I'm pretty conservative in my ships. I only really ship couples that there is at least subtext happening. I have my own characters, I don't really have time to make couples out of nothing. But I do enjoy watching other people do it.
