So Amazons were not from the Amazon? #wowifeelstupid

RIGHT?! Apparently the Amazon rainforest is called that because there were tribes in South America where the women fought alongside the men, so the area was named after the Amazons of Greek myth (which was apparently supposed to be located somewhere in Iran, Turkey or Libya according to a very quick Wikipedia search I just did so AHA they were very probably not white anyway.)

I really really just assumed for a lot of my life that the Greeks just knew about South America for some reason??? I'm not even sure.

So my sister-in-law knows someone who worked at the Common in Edmonton (a kind of club/pub hybrid). Liam Hemsworth was there when he was in town filming and went back to this guy's house. Hemsworth proceeded to do more cocaine than the dude had ever seen anyone do and make out so hard with this girl in the kitchen that he came in his pants.

I think he was great. At being hot. And causing daddy issues.

Hey Steve! Thank you for this question - my ask box is currently filled with incredibly stupid people so I really needed something to take my mind off it. This does the job. I have a lot of Tumblr's that I love, I'm pretty proud of my choices in that regard because my dash is pretty much always awesome and almost always drama free. 

I'm not sure if you want people to follow or what but I don't know what fandom's your into. So how about I just list a couple of my favs and you can either take my advice and make your dash awesome or ignore me and deal with the consequences (which are a slightly less awesome dash).

You should know that these aren't just people I like (most of them I have never actually spoken to) - I just really enjoy looking at the stuff they post. And there are a lot of people I love that are not on the list (sorry guys - you're still awesome).

The most insane thing from any fandom ever was the Snapewives who had all that Snape on an Astral Plane stuff. And they didn’t manage to turn me against my truest love, Snape, so I think that no fandom can ruin the things I love.

The early days on Internet fandom was certainly an interesting place to be. Everything nowadays is a lot more controlled. 

God, I’m with you about Harry/Hermione. Now the shippers seem super chill and awesome, but I just have horrible Harmonian flashbacks when I think about it.

It's memories of the Harmonian's that makes me hate the ship so much to this day.

People always ask me things like has a fandom every made you hate something - and my answer is always the same: if the Harry Potter fandom didn't scare me off then no one else is going to.
