My rats make the best study buddies. It was always so nice having her just be near and spend time with me when I was having trouble focusing. She was in there for maybe forty minutes I think and napped/groomed the entire time.  Also is one of my best photos as far as camera quality and lighting goes.

Hika loves his box so much. He’s been the most timid of our current rats. He’s spooked when you try and take his out of the cage but the second he’s getting kisses and pets he boggles and bruxes like mad. Hikaru gets braver every day though and yesterday he was brave enough that he dove into the digging box and stole Haruhi’s piece of pasta

This would have been a great picture had Haru sat still for a fraction of a second but they have absolutely no time to sit still.

What is a ball of mashed potato doing in Misty’s cage?? Where did my rattie go? She was a funny one.

Haruhi is notoriously difficult to photograph because they just don’t sit still. They’re like a circus rat, always climbing and darting about. Super curious and engaged but they are the most affectionate of our current ratties and has only made one (1) attempt to eat my headphones so far.

This was the last photo that I got of my Celine. I have to go through some other folders of photos on my laptop because I’m sure I have other photos. Celine and I had a very strong bond and I tried very hard to look after her and get her back to health after she had a bad bought of respiratory but sadly it wasn’t enough. In this photo I was very, very proud of her because she was eating with enthusiasm and ate a better amount than she had been in the last few days. She was looking stronger and acting more active but I’ve come to think that she was trying to be strong for me because she saw how upset I was at the thought of losing her.

Darling Diamond was helping her Papa make his cosplay. She thought she was being very helpful nibbling on the tape measure and leaving trails of pee on the newspaper that he was trying to use. Diamond was one of the two dark brown girls that we’ve had and we noticed that those two were far more mischievous and high energy compared to Pixie, Harley, and Misty. 

The cute little face poking out from underneath the blankets would be the face of the sassy bean Pixie. Pixie was the sleepiest and oldest of the girls that me and my roommates had a few years ago. She liked snuggles and wasn’t really much for playing. She could be cranky sometimes and nipped me a couple of times. It wasn’t out of malice or anything, she just had big old lady energy and didn’t like her naps being interrupted for pets.
