I missed last night's episode, what happened with Fjorjester? Because I'm with you tbh I just don't feel that ship at all. Honestly the most Travis plays into it, the less I like it. It just doesn't feel genuine from his side.
Well I have some big news for you on that development, because last night Jester saved Fjord’s life and so he ran up and kissed her on the cheek real fast mid-battle! Neither have addressed it since. Also earlier in the ep Fjord kinda cutely called her Jessie with a big smile, but the kiss is what people are freaking out about! But yeah I feel the same way tbh, and this kiss came outta NOWHERE even if Fjord was starstruck by her saving his life, the thing that was killing him was really freaking him the fuck out, it was crushing him and gave him the frightened status!

some people just really want to ship liam and taliesin's characters together no matter what. see: people who shipped caleb and clay from the minute the latter showed up.
i mean, in fairness, the first five minutes of caleb/caduceus interaction had more chemistry than the entirely of molly and caleb’s relationship :P

like literally every post i’ve seen about thor in endgame is all about how his characterization was destroyed and it’s like… his characterization was already destroyed???
i respect taika waititi’s work on thor: ragnarok 1) because he wasn’t the one to decide it was going to be a comedy. marvel wanted a comedy to draw in non-thor fans, so they hired taika because he’s good and 2) if we were going to have a bad thor movie, at least it was an immigrant story directed by a man of maori/russian-jewish descent that heavily featured (in comparison to other marvel movies) poc actors
however
thor’s characterization in Ragnarok is no better than it is in thor 1 or 2, and the only reason people think so highly of ragnarok-thor is because the movie made them laugh. the people that enjoy ragnarok don’t have a deep attachment to sif, the warrior’s three, heimdall, odin, frigga, or literally any other thor character, so they’re willing to overlook that everyone important to thor fucking died because thor got to act like a mindless goon and beat up a bunch of people to Immigrant Song. it wasn’t revolutionary for his character. he didn’t even really tread new territory in his relationship with loki even!! there’s nothing spectacular character-wise or plot-wise!! all it did was destroy like 90% of the characters i love and squander the surtur storyline--arguably the most iconic thor villain other than loki. a good movie but an awful thor movie.
