Conducting work on the sweater study. Turns out, after a big dinner and a bigger dessert, I can confirm my hypothesis that it was fitting differently was entirely correct. These shorts may not be long for my hips, either. Further research will come.

james brings sweaters everywhere for regulus just in case. it can be like 50 degrees out and he's still wearing one bc regulus is a cold fucker. regulus will not admit that he finds it adorable. james is like a walking oven. this man can wear a t shirt in -30 degrees and be like 'this is fine'.
remus never brings sweaters and sirius never wears them (he insists his leather jacket can withstand the cold) so they both end up being cold asf and huddling tg like imbeciles.
mary always brings sweaters for lily. like she's always carrying one, or just has a jacket hung loosely around her shoulders so lily can always take it even tho mary always ends up being cold anyway. when lily realized this she cried. twice.
barty and evan never wear sweaters. ever. tank tops and leather pants in -20 degrees and they think they can withstand it. they end up spending cold nights at some random motel or bar bc theyre too bitchy to start bringing jackets and shit bc they think they don't need them (spoiler: they fucking do). (this is where reggie gets his shitty habits from too btw).
dorcas never wears sweaters. nor does she ever need them. marlene always wears her leather jacket. which dorcas sometimes steals. marlene would never admit it but she finds it hot. marlene also never actually needs sweaters or shit this woman was raised in some cold ass place idk but she doesn't need a jacket in winter, but she wears them in summer.
