I had this thought the other day about Swapfell DanceTale Papyrus.
While im not sure exactly what type of dance he would do, I saw a video once of The Nutcracker, specifically someone playing the role of Clara's sister. The girl who performed it was acting so dramatically and expressively during the role, having a field day I think with how freely she had herself to express what she does with the role she was given, and no major dance moves, only sometimes when needed.
And I thought of him because oh my lord, maybe there was a time where Sans, who for now let's say did ballet of sorts, Papyrus was also brought into ballet just as Sans did, a nicer way to say it being that he was pushed into it.
And at first he hated and despised it deeply, until came the roles and seeing some performances he attended of his brother's, and saw The Nutcracker being performed. And what caught his eye was the person playing Clara's sister. The freedom of their expression, being so messy and chaotic while everyone else performed so beautifully. And that caught his eye. He wanted to do the same. He felt the same way.
Ballet wasn't something he liked. It was too formal and perfectionistic in his eyes, and the things he saw people and teachers do to ballet dancers because of the sheer need to be flexible sent a chill down his spine in uncomfortableness.
But when he saw this opportunity, he thought why not give it a shot. He wasn't gonna take this entire dance seriously anyway, so why not have fun while also being a gremlin with no self control on stage. And surprisingly, when casting calls came, he got the role of a clara's sister (they just literally put a wig on him and a dress and everyone went with it no problem). He didn't believe it at first, and when he performed later one night, the crowd loved it. Holy shit, these people liked him being his unhinged self on stage.
And now whenever there was a casting call for who would be who, you know damn well Papyrus did everything in his soul to get the roles of people that in that said dance would have him being chaotic and messy, and a role that gives him the freedom of being a gremlin. And god did he live himself out on that stage. And while he for himself only did so because it was some sort of rebellion in his eyes against ballet being a "perfectionist", "perfect", and "royal" type of dance, the people and crowd genuinely loved his performances. He takes stage acting really seriously once given these roles.
