Swan Nebula
Immerse yourself in the glowing beauty of this Swan Nebula Wall Art Print. This was the first design I created on my own. I created this with inspiration from a Google image I saw. I thought it was real but found out only part of it was. The original was created by Adam Ferriss. I used his work which I thought was an original Hubble Telescope photo and created my artwork. The photo I found said it was an image taken by the Hubble and scientist don’t know what it is and called it “The Gates of Heaven”. Seeing this inspired me to actually make it the gates of Heaven with St. Peter watching over the gates allowing entrance. Off to the right surrounded by clouds is the stairway to heaven leading you to the gates. I saw this vision in my head the moment I saw the image created by Adam Ferriss. This makes me think of what it might look like when you do make it to the gate and meet St. Peter to see if you made it into Heaven.
The Omega Nebula is an excellent deep sky astrophotography target for your DSLR camera. This H II region nebula in Sagittarius is bright and full of color. In June 2017, I used my camera and telescope to capture M17 from my city backyard. Here are some tips for photographing this nebula with a DSLR.

This canvas consists of three separate images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope through narrow-band 502 (OIII), 656 (H-alpha), and 673 (SII) nm filters. The Omega Nebula (a.k.a. Swan Nebula, Checkmark Nebula, or Horseshoe Nebula) is an H II region in the constellation Sagittarius. It was discovered in 1745 and catalogued by Messier in 1764. The Nebula is between 5,000 and 6,000 light-years from Earth and spans ~15 light-years in diameter.
