Swamp Cryptids
As the name suggests, these cryptids tend to lurk around in swamps. During the daytime, most cryptids stay deep under the water but some choose to pretend to be logs or alligators to scare passersby. At night, similar to cornfield cryptids, swamp type cryptids will become more active. They tend to make strange sounds to scare anyone still awake for fun but generally won't attack unless provoked. Lucky for anyone nearby, they cannot go very far out of their watery homes before their skin starts to dry out. Swamp cryptids prefer to eat smaller animals such as frogs, bugs and snakes, but aren't opposed to larger creatures as long as they can drag them far enough into the water.
