August is coming and so is Seblaine Week 2021.

We will kick things off on August 1st with the theme Confessions / In vino veritas. For full Seblaine Week 2021 schedule, see here.

We know that we have Seblainers all over the world so, as always, posting can follow whatever timezone YOU are in.

Even if you’re familiar with our normal posting protocol, please read below as we’re adding in a new request this year.

General Posting Instructions

Post whatever you did to your Tumblr and tag it with seblaineweek2021 AND seblaineaffairs. These should be in your first five tags.

However, (and this is new from our normal protocol) the Tumblr tagging system has continued to prove itself unreliable. While not required, we are asking that you also specifically tag us in posts by typing @seblaineaffairs somewhere within the body of the text. Again this isn’t required but will really help us to make sure we get everyone’s posts.

Somewhere in the post or in the tags, please indicate which day you are submitting for.

If your contribution fills multiple days then tag all days, regardless of which day you actually post on. If the post fills multiple days, you can post on any of the days.

Late posts are okay (posting for day 1 on day 3), but please try not to post early. If you aren’t going to be around the day of you can always schedule the post for the correct day and whatever time you would like.

If you don’t see your contribution reblogged within 24 hours please, please let us know.

If your posting to another site (AO3, ff.net, etc) then just post a link on your tumblr and tag it accordingly.

If you’re posting a link or your content on Twitter, feel free to tag us @/seblaineaffairs and we will retweet it. Please also use the hashtag #SeblaineWeek2021

What is Seblaine Week?

The most beautiful week of the year! Seven days dedicated to celebrating the wonder and glory that is Seblaine; Sebastian Smythe and Blaine Anderson.

Who can participate?

Seblaine Week is open to anyone with an appreciation for the fine things in life (aka seblaine).

You can contribute by writing, creating art work/manips, making gifsets, playlists, or videos, really whatever you can think of to fit the themes.

Or maybe podficcing is more your interest, we welcome that, too. Just be sure to have the author’s consent and go forth with a smooth collaboration.

Perhaps you’d prefer making threadfics on Twitter. Feel free to. Just tag us on twitter @/seblaineaffairs and use the corresponding hashtags (We will do another update on Posting Guidelines soon).

And if you’re not planning on creating anything, you can always spread the word, the love for the contents and bask in the beauty of everything produced.

I’m new to Seblaine Week, do you have any examples of previous year’s weeks so I can get a better idea of what’s going on.

Why are you starting planning so early if it might not be until August? That’s about a month away!

A few reasons. 1) We respect that people work at different speeds. We hope to give people as long or as little time as possible to work. 2) If the week doesn’t work that well for contributors they can still do work ahead of time and be able to participate. 3) Because we can.
