Izzy knew that things were stressful right now, what with the storm causing havoc through the town and the fact that the woman was the mother of a one year old. So when she came over, she always expected to be handed a baby or at least would help in watching after Eliza. While Izzy honestly couldn’t ever see herself with children, she does hold Eliza near and dear to her heart. There was just something about her wild spirit that felt like they were kindred spirits. Although, maybe it’s because the little one was similar to her mother in some ways, like her father in others. No matter the reason, Izzy liked spending time with Eliza, something that almost made her reconsider the idea of kids but not totally, especially when she would throw herself on the ground and cry or hand her mother mushy oatmeal that had already been partially eaten.
Knocking on the door, although expected, Izzy got out her cell phone to check quick on her notifications, instant gratification filling her when she sees the amount of ‘likes’ on her most recent photo from this morning. When the mother answers the door, Izzy pops her head up and slides her cell in her back pocket to smile at her friend. “Hey, baby, we still on to chit chat or do you have a wild child on the loose?” Izzy smiles. She’s willing to sit through either, following their girls’ weekend in New Orleans, there’s plenty to talk about.
