She looked up as a man entered the room looking straight at her. The police had told her a detective would be called for this case, it had not been the first one of its kind, but it was the first with a witness and a survivor. “Detective?”

“I understand that you’re struggling. Everyone goes through these phases.” Chloe leaned closer to the girl with a soft smile. “Do you want to talk about it?” The girl was more scared and lost than anything. She wasn’t a suspect, just someone who got caught in the crossfire. Chloe hoped she could help--something generally outside of her job description.

              “That w-wasn’t what I was expecting.”

“...hello...?” Peering her head into the pitch black room, Tara could faintly hear her heart echoing inside her ears, making it all too clear how quiet it had become. 

“She’s not coming back out.” Shaking her head as she forced the darker Magicks back in to the recesses of her brain, Willow could still feel them tugging at her very being. The barriers she and the Coven had put in place to prevent her dark and veiny self from arising were still very much there, but even they weren’t a hundred percent full-proof.
