So today's #surrenderdecember is about me being reminded to go back to journaling BY HAND. I have watched videos that constantly remind me to journal by hand. I'm really about to make a heavy commitment to journaling. The #surrenderdecember today is pretty simple. Finding and maintaining your focus. Life has a tendency to sidetrack us very unwillingly. Trying to stay focused and remain focused can be very challenging. I've used bagby phone bags and phubbing bands. I was even going as far as using a phone lockbox (still have it, but don't wanna get that intense with it). There are many resources and things that I use, but I know that it all starts and ends with me and creating manageable habits/routine to stay on the right track. The focus will be upheld. A few years ago, I started to come into my own in realizing that I had two talented gifts. For #surrenderdecember I will talk about the connection between the two of them. The tech side of this started when I was a kid. I was always a tech guy. There's never been a time that I didn't make it clear that tech was and forever has been my love language. Tying into the fixing guy, I would always catch on to the east things were when you presented anything tech my direction Creating content and trying to create was something I would call myself shying from when I was younger, but lately that's changed. I didn't want to be the spotlight. However, I would be put under the light. My creativity isn't remotely created to the max that I would like it to, but that comes with the territory. I say all of that to say that being a tech creative has practically been a natural part of my routine without trying. Once you're able to see the importance of it, then it comes together. Bryan. The fixer. The figure it out person. A lot of this year, I've found myself constantly saying "with great power comes greater responsibilities". My #surrenderdecember for today is about being the fixer or the alleged Mr fix it. I have to accept what comes with my powers. My sis @britt_the_introvert has been putting me in check in a good way. Many times we need the truth told to us and this truth just spoke over me. As the saying goes, timing is impeccable. Nearing the midway point of #surrenderdecember I truly hasn’t started to come into my own of accepting that I’m the light. I’m not sitting here saying that everyone gravitates to me, because many instances, I make it clear that I’m ok being hidden and out of the way. However, my light shines very bright. This also gives a teaser to my theme for 2023. Many of you know it. Others probably can easily read the room. I almost forgot to do my #surrenderdecember for today, but many of my friends know that I genuinely live off of taking the opportunity to unplug from technology and connect with humans. I almost feel like between my lock box and my newer bag from @bagbybrand I’m all about unplugging every opportunity I’m allowed. I've gotten grief for this, and it can be challenging to share, but my #surrenderdecember for today is about being an empath. Many people are or have been aware of this for years. People have gravitated towards and away from me because of this skillset. It's something to definitely be proud of, but it's also that falls in line with the term "with great power comes greater responsibility". So because I didn't do a #surrenderdecember for yesterday, this is my way of calling myself making up for it. Most of this weekend, the sane things come up on my heart and my spirit. The biggest one is my business and treating my business, not a "hustle" or a "hobby". I've been wanting my business to become a career, but I've been a mediocre entrepreneur.
