It is with utmost excitement that I can unveil the first piece of artwork from the genius Strange House designs for my long gestated dream roleplaying game project LORDS OF THE VIDEO WASTELAND.

“WE ARE THE FACES IN THE PIT. TIL THE FINAL FIST COMES DOWN, WE KEEP IT TRUE. HYPERCORP CRUSHERS, GOREBEAST SLAYERS, WIZARD PUNCHERS-CORPSE MONGERS FUCK OFF!!” - The Pitface Thrash Ballad, Traditional Folk Song.

The fiercest defenders of the outer city boroughs are the Pitface Hero Cult. A confederation of gangs bound by a code of tradition, organisation and honor. Worshippers of heroic violence, they defend their boroughs by any means necessary. Known for scavenging, crafting, and robbing what weapons and armour they can from the wasteland and the inner city alike- though the less armor a Pit Face wears, the more heroic they are considered to be.

You don’t need armor when your patch covered battle jacket will keep your spirit fightin’ on- but a little stolen Hypertech couldnt hurt, neither.

The Pitfaces worship FINAL FIST, the transcendent Heroic Violence God who sleeps within the mythical volcano Mount Kuroken. It is said He will someday awaken to cleanse the world of evil.

As honorable as is their creed of keeping their boroughs free of the hypercorps, gorespawn and chaos cults, the fallibility of humankind often leads to Pitface chapters falling far below their own ideals, becoming ossified authoritarian bullies operating with unchecked power and violence in borough communities that need co-operation and stability to survive.

Me: Boy, I am in urgent need of some industrial music for my Cyberpunk Red TTRPG campaign, if only there was an album filled with absolute bangers...

So, I found this guy randomly, I first heard "Pit Face" and absolutely loved it, so I looked for more. And there it was, an album so good it gave me ideas for a whole story line at least 20 sessions long.

"Beyonna Nuit" is really something else.

There's something in this album, that just makes it click for me. It makes my leegs move on their own, and my heart race. Overall vibe is really nice too. Waterlit Gardens is probably my favorite track, but all of them are amazing in their own right.

Give it a listen if you have an hour to spare and/or like industrial/electronic music.

Doing some designs for a CY_Borg expansion set in my VIDEO WASTELAND mythos.

This is for a character class called a Tape Hunter, scavengers who take a drug called Behemoth that allows dimensions to blur together, then go to abandoned buildings at night, and search for transdimensional artifacts in the liminal urban spaces.

There were going to be more, and my profile pic is from another one called BONE ZONE which Ariel ZB was working on but quit just over halfway through, and that kind of killed the comic anthology project for me.

I have a book due for publication in 2024 called DECREPIT RITUAL, which is going to be set in the video wasteland mythos, and a space fantasy book called REDSPACE OBSIDIAN which is out to submission right now which is set at the very fringes of that mythos.

I'll keep working on projects based around it as much as I can, but I find it hard to just make works set there because I want them to be extremely high quality. The Cy_Borg expansion I want to do set in the mythos will be me finally just going fuck it, let's get this thing down on paper.

I've also been working on a brawler game set in that world but it might just be too ambitious to ever be finished. Still, i'm gonna try to put out the demo for it this year.
