It was supposed to be a good day. A birthday that Katherine would finally be celebrating. After five centuries, someone finally cared enough about her to acknowledge this day, and do something for her. Whatever it was between them was still yet to be determined, but she knew it was far more than two people just sleeping together. They clearly cared for each other - and tonight would most definitely prove that. So she sat in her apartment, waiting for Jason's arrival and whatever he had in store for her. And though she would never admit it, she was becoming to grow more and more exciting with each passing moment. That feeling only intensified when she finally heard the knock at her door.
The disappointment must have been obvious in her expression when she opened the door, revealing a complete stranger on the other side. It was only temporary, however, because before Katherine could even muster a word, the man reached out, struck her only one time with his fist and left her unconscious. The brunette wasn't even given a chance to defend herself, much less fight back. He proceeded to carry her effortlessly through the complex and stuffed her into the trunk of his car.
Roughly an hour later, she awoke in a dark room, with the painful feeling that her head was split in two. Dried blood stuck to her face and hair, and upon trying to move, Katherine realized she had been chained to a chair. Frantically, she pulled at the chains, attempting to break free, but to no avail. She was completely and utterly trapped. Her heart began to beat rapidly beneath her ribcage as she heard a door open, loud footsteps coming closer.
