So... I’ve been trying to decide between pressing a few records, purchasing download cards, or going with download stickers. I would love to press some vinyls but I can’t get a clear up-front price. CDBaby is telling me that they’ll keep $4 for every album I “sell” no matter what price I sell it for but they do not tell me what the minimum purchase order is. If I can have 5 of them made, I’m okay with that. Download cards and stickers are kind of in a tie. 100 cards = $49. 100 stickers = $59. If I am going to give people something, I want it to be something that fits in their pocket. Chances are that people don't pay much attention to CDs from artists they haven’t heard of, I’d rather they throw away a download card than a CD. Stickers are cool because they are the size of a CD case, so it’s like selling a CD without all the plastic. Also, when you peel the sticker, the download information is on the paper exposed by the peel - it’s a double win! I’d want to come up with some origin artwork, though, not something I got from Google and put a twist to. That’s the only thing holding me back from going this route but I think I’m leaning towards the stickers. Any suggestions? I’m all ears.
Other than that, I don’t have much to share except check out “Television.”
