i think youre misunderstanding, “alternative” is just a lil descriptor term for black folks who have “unconventional” interests, it’s not like.. a legit identity or anything. 

of course you can have alternative interests and still like trap music and other black shit. most of us “alternative black kids” do. and thats literally what we’re talking about, people think we dont like black shit or that we dont like being black because we like “non-black” shit.
