I was tagged by @fictorium and @xxtorchxx THANKS LOVELIES!
It was a rough year for my words, so every creation was a victory. These are the ones Iâm most proud of.
1. Storm: Episode 8 of Supergirl Virtual Season, Supercat, rating: M
I fought for every word of this and I had a lot of help. I had fantastic editors, incredible artists and @inspectorboxer and @fictorium at the helm. In the end Iâm very proud of how it turned out and am thrilled and honored to have been a part of this enormous project. I absolutely adored exploring characters I hadnât spent much time with before, James especially. I gained a new love for him as a character and would love to write more for him in future.
2. From The Desk Of⊠Supercat, rating: T, collab with @fictorium
This began as a headcanon, which turned into the exchange of letters on two separate tumblr sideblogs and soon it had snowballed into the creation of a love story told from opposite continents through only letters. Lola and I have put these women through arguments, heartbreak, violence, reunions, romance and new adventures. Weâve seen them grow and change through communication with each other. Weâve been frustrated by the limitations of the epistolary format but never once considered changing it. Iâve never been more proud of a creation. It fills my heart to bursting to know it exists and there are not enough heart emojis in the entire internet to thank Lola for going on this journey with me. The story is coming to a close soon, but I believe this piece will continue to live on in the people that continue to discover it.
Winnâs impulse to hug Cat upon her return at the end of Season 2, and his obvious affection for her at CatCo when filming her Resist speech had my mind racing. Cat called him Winslow and it made me melt. So, I wrote them a friendship. Writing it made me fall in love with both of these characters all over again and gave me a renewed appreciation for both of their relationships with Kara. I didnât expect anyone to read or like or even buy it, but the response was overwhelming. Thank you all for loving this fic as much as I do.
4. Line Dancing, SuperVasquez, rating: G
I was really disappointed in the Season 2 episode where Kara is planning on spending her Earth Birthday with Alex and she gets blown off. So, Karaâs alone and hurting on a day that has always been important in her life. Enter Vasquez, who is a hero in her own right in my world. Susan Vasquez helps Kara celebrate her Earth Birthday and it was a bit of a balm to my own soul.
5. All Day, Supercat, rating: M
Iâm not sure this one counts because Iâve only posted one chapter of it so far. (Chapter 2 coming soon.) but Iâve spent so much of my year working on headcanons and outlines and plotting for this fic that it feels like itâs been a fairly large part of my year. If all goes well it will be completed by mid-year!
And like an idiot I forgot to tag people so hereâs the new and improved version now with tagged people! @abcooper @rtarara @supercitycarnival @spaceshipsarecool @poppyssupergirl @gertiemcfuzz

The Hope of Fusion, Susan Vasquez/many women, Rating: PG13
Happy Birthday @bridgetteirish. I do it all for you!
Susan knows the green glowing walls donât affect her, shouldnât affect her, but she feels a shiver regardless every time she enters the cell. So far Agent Danvers has been handling the interrogation, which is fine by Susan. Sheâs not one for talking their prisoners to death, and god knows when something is personal to one of the Danvers, it ends up becoming the business of the whole DEO.
âGeneral?â The prisoner is always afforded the respect of her rank. âIâve brought your evening meal, and if youâre willing to cooperate, I can arrange for some shower access in the next 30 minutes.â
âWhich one are you?â Astra uncurls from the uncomfortable bench, in that feline way of hers. From what Susan understands of Kara, and the files theyâve amassed on her cousin, discomfort isnât something that affects these almost invulnerable Kryptonians. Thatâs without the overpowering effects of the kryptonite though; sure enough, Astra stretches as she stands, leaning muscles fight off cramp and bones click slightly with her movements.
âAgent Vasquez,â she replies, realizing a moment too late that sheâs staring. Itâs hard not to stare at that slender figure all in black, the white streak in her hair too eye-catching to be ignored. âI guess Iâm your tour guide for your stay at Casa DEO.â
SuperVasquez 16 Accidentally falling asleep on the couch together.
âAlex,â Kara leaned over the back of the couch sheâd just deposited on the hardwood floor of her sisterâs new living room as Susan Vasquez flopped onto the sofa in front of her. Â âSupergirl could have done the entire move in an hour. Â You seriously couldnât have waited a couple days for my powers to come back?â
âSorry, sis. Â Timing is everything. Â We had to be out of the old place today.â Â Alex dropped a box on the floor and winced at the disturbing rattle it made as it hit the ground. Â âOops.â
âWatch it, Danvers. Â You break it, you bought it.â Â Maggie followed Alex through the apartment door and placed her own box carefully on top of Alexâs before snaking her arms around Alexâs waist. Â The two began canoodling with no regard for the other two women in the room. Â Kara rolled her eyes.
âThereâs a special place in hell for people who schedule city moves in the hottest month of the year. Â There better be so much pizza and beer at the end of this.â Â Vasquez punctuated her statement by wiping sweat from her forehead with the hem of her t-shirt, exposing her impressive abs. Â Kara tried not to stare. Â She really did try, but Susan was right there, trying to catch her breath and leaning her head against the back of the couch. Â Her face was so close, eyes closed, neck exposed.Â
This had been happening a lot the last couple of weeks. Â Moments between them, heavy with feeling, with potential, with possibility. Â Kara found herself enjoying these moments more and more. Â She was mortified that Susan might think she was orchestrating them. Â But the accidental meetings kept happening, after missions or before briefings, and that one time Susan twisted her ankle and Kara had to carry her to the med-bay. Â She remembered the way Susanâs breath fell against her neck and the weight of her head against her shoulder. Â
Kara let herself enjoy the view for a moment too long when her heart fluttered and she stood quickly before she did something stupid like push that tiny lock of hair away from Susanâs eyes. Â âSo, we almost done?â
Alex pulled herself from Maggie reluctantly to answer. Â âJust about. Â Tell ya what, wimp, since you and Vasquez have done the bulk of the heavy lifting, you guys hang out here and Mags and I will go back for the last truckload. Â You can rest until weâre back and then weâll bring up the last of it.â
âUgh, youâre the best.â Â Kara made her way around the couch and flopped next to Susan. Â âTake your time.â
Alex and Maggie left and Kara indulged herself just a bit by letting her head drop onto Susanâs shoulder. Â She smiled when she felt Susanâs head rest gently against her own. Â Her heart did that pleasing little flutter again, so Kara lifted her head, retreating again in fear. Â
Susanâs hand on her jaw stopped her. Â âIf you keep pulling away every time I get close to you, youâll give me a complex.â
Kara nuzzled into Susanâs hand.  âIt isnât that.  I donât want you to think Iâm doing it on purpose.  We just keep ending upâŠâ her breath caught as she met Susanâs eyes, suddenly much closer than they were a moment ago.  â...really close.â
Vasquez smiled. Â âAnd if I told you I was doing it on purpose?â
Karaâs eyes slipped closed and she took a deep breath. Â âIâd say it explains a lot,â she answered.
Susan grinned and dropped her hand, ready to retreat before Kara got any more terrified. Â Kara didnât let her get far. Â She caught Susanâs hand and pulled her back in. Â She pressed a sweet kiss against Susanâs lips and the flutter in her heart became a small earthquake. Â She sighed quietly and pulled away. Â Kara met Susanâs eyes and licked her lips. Â She tasted sweat and Susanâs honey lip balm, but didnât have time to process the kiss before Susan was leaning in to claim another. Â Kara draped an arm around Susanâs shoulders and pulled her closer. Â They fell against the couch cushions and the kiss deepened. Â Karaâs head swam and a thrill like liquid sunshine shot through her veins. Â Her arms came around Susanâs waist and she held her tight.
âOw.â Susan pulled away and her breath left her with an involuntary âOof.â
âOh my gosh. Â Iâm sorry, Susan. Â I, um, think my powers are back.â
âWell, donât I feel powerful. Â Like a superhero battery charger.â Â Susan swiped a gentle thumb across Karaâs bottom lip. Â Kara laid a kiss there and they giggled softly. Â Susan snuggled her face into Karaâs collarbone and Kara held her close again, moderating her strength carefully.
XXX
Alex and Maggie burst into the apartment, each carrying a box. Â Alex strode across the room and peeked over the back of the couch to see her sister holding a finger to her lips then pointing to Susan, still sound asleep across Karaâs chest.
Maggie sauntered up behind Alex and surveyed the scene. Â âWell Iâll be damned. Â Get it, Little Danvers.â
âShut up.â Kara tried to sound threatening, but couldnât hide her smile. Â She tried and failed not to wake Susan as she attempted to slide off the sofa and lay her back down, but Susan sat up anyway. Â She had an adorable line across her cheek from a wrinkle in Karaâs t-shirt. Â Kara grinned and ran a finger down that line. Â âStay here. Â Itâll just take me a few minutes to unload the truck, then weâll order pizza.â
She ignored Alexâs raised eyebrow as she sped from the room, intent on finishing this infernal move and getting back to more enjoyable things.

Swing and a Miss
âStupid. Â Stupid. Â Stupid.â Â Each word was punctuated by a blow to the cement pillar. Â The concrete crumbled under iron fists and Vasquez could see tears of frustration shining on Karaâs flushed cheeks. Â
Vasquez sent a silent prayer to whatever deity governed her ability to stay alive thus far that the pillar she was pulverizing wasnât load bearing and that the ceiling wouldnât tumble down on her head before she could get Kara to stop.
âSupergirl.â Â Susan didnât step too close, fearing she would be caught at the end of one of those angry fists.
âStupid. Â Stupid. Â Stupid.â Â More tears. Â More crumbling concrete.
âSupergirl!â Â She exclaimed a bit louder this time. Â She knew Karaâs hearing picked up her voice. Â She was actively ignoring her.
âStupid. Â Stupid.â
âSupergirl, stop!â Â This time she did move to stand at Karaâs side, ready to reach for Kara if necessary.
But before she could duck out of the way, one of those tiny steel fists was flying towards her face. Â She braced for impact and squeezed her eyes shut.
The crunch of cement next to her head was less disturbing than the cry of horror coming from the woman in front of her. Â She exhaled and opened her eyes just in time to see Kara stagger away from her, apologies spilling from her lips.
âIâm sorry, Susan.  Rao, Iâm so sorry.  I almost⊠I didnât meanâŠâ
Susan sprang into action. Â âItâs okay. Â Iâm okay.â Â She placed her arms on Karaâs coiled biceps and forced her to meet her eyes. Â âAre you going to tell me whatâs wrong?â
Karaâs face crumpled.  âIâm so stupid.  I really thought heâd changed, that he could be someone I couldâŠâ  she stopped and shook her head.  âHeâs from home⊠kind of⊠I just⊠wanted someone who at least shared my sun⊠butâŠâ  Kara stepped away and wrung her hands.
âBut?â Â Vasquez coaxed, but didnât reach for Kara again.
âBut he doesnât care about Krypton, or Rao, or even Daxam, really.â Â She shook her head and sighed. Â âHe wants to date me. Â Itâs the only reason heâs stuck around or let me train him.â
Vasquez groaned internally. Â Of course. Â Just like every other useless frat boy sheâd ever met. Â Heâs given the greatest gift in the world and he just wants to use it like a chew toy. Â She contemplated her words for a moment. Â She badly wanted to comfort this woman, but Kara was wound like a watch spring and Susan thought it might be better to get some of that energy out.
She grinned, showing her dimples and tucked her hands in her pockets. Â âWell, itâs a gorgeous spring day, Supergirl, and our sun is out. Â How about you and I go share a little of it.â Â She dared a step closer. Â âI know it isnât Rao, Kara, and I know you werenât born under it, but itâs given us both a lot.â Â Karaâs sharp blue eyes turned to hers again. Â âLet me share it with you?â
Kara blushed and smiled. Â âLead the way, Susie.â
+++++++++
Susan had managed to get Kara out of her supersuit and into a DEO issue tanktop and shorts. Â She couldnât help but think this may have been a mistake. Â Karaâs legs went on for days and Susanâs knees went a little weak. Â It was made infinitely worse by the feel of Karaâs long arms around her waist, squeezing gently as she ducked in and out of traffic on her Yamaha.
She parked and turned just in time to see Kara pull the helmet off and shake miles of golden hair off her face. Â Susan was doomed, especially once Kara pulled all that hair into a long ponytail and topped it with an NC Comets baseball cap. Â âThe batting cages? Â Susan, you know I canât. Â Iâll knock the covers off the ball with one swing.â
Susan shrugged. Â âI called in a favor. Â I play softball with the owner. Â Itâs been under renovations for the past month. Â Itâs perfectly safe, but totally deserted. Â She gave me permission to hang out for the day. Â Ever hit a ball, Supergirl?â
Kara shook her head. Â Her voice was quiet, wistful. Â âI wasnât ever allowed. Â Too much risk of exposure.â
Susanâs dimples made another appearance. Â âNowâs your chance, come on.â Â Without thinking, she took Kara by the hand and led her to the employee entrance. Â Karaâs hand was warm and soft, but she could feel the steel beneath long fingers. Â She punched a code into the door and they were inside.
Within a few minutes, Kara was standing inside black netting, holding a sturdy aluminum bat awkwardly in two hands and facing a menacing looking machine. Â Having watched the machine spit a couple of balls past her face, she squared her shoulders and fixed her eyes on the machine, Â âOkay, I think Iâm ready.â Â She took her stance and held the bat the way sheâd seen Alex do in high school and how sheâd seen players do the few times sheâd endured games on TV when Elizaâs Hawks were playing. Â It was unsure and tentative and so impossibly cute that Susan couldnât help but feel her heart thump in her chest affectionately as she fed a ball into the machine.
Kara swung, missed and spun in a circle before the bat flew from her hands.  Vasquez ducked and watched the bat fly past her head.  Kara sped to the other end of the net and caught the bat before it could tear through the cage and do any damage.  She looked up at Susan in horror and Susan looked back, awestruck.  A few seconds passed and they simultaneously broke into giggles.  Kara covered her face with her hands.  âIâm so sorry.  Iâm⊠really terrible at stuff like this⊠I should have told you.  It took Alex weeks to teach me how to even punch correctly.â
Susan held out a hand. Â âThis wonât take weeks. Â Here. Â Iâll show you.â Â She pulled Kara back to the plate. Â Slowly, gently, she wrapped Karaâs long, warm fingers around the handle of the bat. Â Her voice was soft, with an air of sweet amusement. Â âChoke up a bit on the bat.â Â She moved Karaâs hands further up, leaving a few inches at the bottom. Â âHold on, but not too tight. Â You should be able to pivot the bat in your hands.â Â She demonstrated by rocking the bat back and forth, her hands covering Karaâs. Â She kept her breath steady but thought she noticed Karaâs breathing shorten slightly. Â Susan chose to ignore that and focus on her instruction. Â
She moved behind Kara and bit her lip, knowing what came next would likely cross lines she would not be able to uncross, but it didnât matter. Â Kara deserved fun and adventure and someone who could enjoy time with her without ulterior motives. Â She would never ask Kara for more than this, she promised herself as she slipped her arms around Karaâs bare ones and laid her hands across Karaâs again. Â The air between them became heavy and warm as Susanâs breath ghosted across Karaâs shoulder and neck. Â She was shorter than Kara, by at least a couple of inches, but it didnât matter as she stepped closer. Â
âKeep both hands on the bat,â she husked. Â âDonât let go with one the way the pros do. Â You want to hang on and follow through.â Â She bent Karaâs arms into position. Â âKeep your back elbow up. Â Bend your knees a little.â Â Kara bent and Susan was assaulted by the scent of Karaâs faint perfume as her nose became suddenly even with her pulse point. Â She swallowed and licked her lips, then continued. Â
âEye on the ball. Â When it crosses the plate, straighten your arms and swing. Â But,â she slid her hands from where they rested on Karaâs forearms and rested them on her hips, where the hem of her tanktop met her shorts, âall of your power comes from here. Â Turn your hips into the swing.â Â
With just a suggestion, Kara went slowly through the motions and Susan followed from behind. Â âGood,â she whispered. Â âJust like that.â Â But Kara kept turning, letting the bat drop from one hand and placing the other on Susanâs collarbone. Â Their eyes met and volumes were spoken in the silence between them.
âSusan, I-â
Susan stepped away and grinned. Â Kara needed a friend. Â Sheâd already gone too far. Â âLetâs try it again.â Â She left Kara standing at the plate, bat dangling from her fingers. Â She tossed a ball up and caught it. Â To break the tension she winked and held up the ball. Â âEye on the ball, SG,â she reminded. Â âKnock its cover off.â
Kara took a deep breath, flashed a smile that didnât quite reach her eyes and took her stance. Â âOK.â
The ball flew from the machine with a dull thump and Susan could practically see time slow as Kara did exactly as sheâd been taught. Â She executed a near perfect swing, connected with the ball and they watched the ball fly up off the bat, through the nylon net above Susanâs head and away. Â There was no telling where it went and as the world sped up again, Susan tried to spy the ballâs trajectory and approximately where they might be able to find it. Â She wasnât paying attention as Kara bounced up next to her. Â âWe wonât find it,â she said proudly. Â âIt might be in orbit.â
Susan crossed her arms and ventured a glance back over her shoulder and her stomach flipped at Kara, practically glowing under the spring sun. Â âI think you might be right.â Â She turned fully to face Kara. Â âOur meager paychecks wonât buy any more of these brand new nets. Â My turn?â
Kara nodded, clearly relieved to be off the hook. Â âDoes that mean I get to run that ball machine?â She was adorably eager to give Susan a turn. Â
Vasquez jogged to the plate and picked up the bat with a practiced flip and a showy flourish. Â âDo your worst, SG.â Â She winked.
An hour later they were letting themselves out the employee door and Kara tucked an arm into Susanâs elbow as they made their way back to the waiting motorcycle. Â Vasquez pulled her spare helmet out and held it out for Kara.
Instead of taking the proffered helmet, she pulled Susan by the wrist and into the circle of her arms.  It was a suspiciously un-Kara-like move and Vasquezâs face flushed unexpectedly.  âI⊠wanted to thank you⊠for sharing your sun with me today.  I feel⊠warm and happy.â
Susan smiled. Â She couldnât resist reaching up to stroke a thumb across Karaâs smooth cheek. Â Her eyes slipped shut as Kara bent and pressed a single, soft kiss on Susanâs cheek, right where the dimple appeared when she smiled. Â And if it was just a bit too close to the corner of her mouth, neither of them mentioned it as flashing blue eyes met warm brown.

Three Weeks Later
âCâmon Vasquez! Â Knock it outta the park!â Kara shrieked through a mouthful of bubble gum. Â She clapped her hands and leaned forward, threading her fingers through the chain link behind home plate.
âHey, down in front!â A burly voice came from the bleachers behind her.
Kara turned, blew a cheeky bubble with her gum and shouted back. Â âIn a minute!â
Vasquez gave a final practice swing, flipped the bat once, threw a wink back at Kara and stepped into the batterâs box. Â She took her stance, squeezed the bat and waited. Â A flawless fastball crossed the plate and Vasquez swung. Â The ball flew over the infield, outfield and cleared the fence into the manicured grass on a neighboring diamond. Â The crowd went wild and Vasquez dropped her bat and made for first base. Â She turned back, blew a kiss at Kara who was already scaling the six-foot chain link next to the backstop. Â She dropped onto the dirt as Susan was rounding third.
Kara met her at home plate by sweeping Susan into her arms and planting a free and easy kiss on her lips. Â âYou did it, Susie! Â You won!â
Susan let herself back onto the ground, arms still securely about Karaâs neck. Â âCouldnât have done it without my good luck charm. Â How about some ice cream?â
Karaâs eyes sparkled. Â âTake me home after?â
Susan answered with another melting kiss and a squeeze of Karaâs fingers.
This is dedicated to @reginalovesemma on her birthday! There arenât many of us on this little SuperVasquez ship, but you and I will captain it for as long as it will sail! Â
Happy Birthday my wonderful friend! You bring such fun and joy into my life. Hereâs to sending our favorite characters on many more adventures!
Also, since you are my regular beta (I can never thank you enough for everything you do for me) this is entirely un-beta-ed. All mistakes are my own.
Iâm calling this a loose follow-up to Line Dancing, but it can certainly be read as a stand-alone.
I Thought You Didnât Want Me
The mission was simple, re-capture Livewire and put her back in her plastic prison. Â Kara thought giving her a chance to be a hero for once would turn her around. Â She thought sheâd maybe managed to find another ally in this exhausting fight. Â But now Reign was gone again, off again to lick her wounds and regroup, and Leslie had turned on her and ransacked her city. Â So, it was time to take her down again.
Jâonn was putting together his tactical team as Kara stood by, chomping at the bit to get out there and fight.
âSchott and Stanford, youâre here on tactical. Â Get us eyes on every corner of this city. Â Holland and Avila, backup. Â Danvers, Lane and Vasquez, youâre on point.â
âNo!â Kara stepped forward, surprising even herself with her outburst. Â âPut Stanford in the field. Â I trust Vasquez more on tactical.â Â She could practically feel Susan prickling from across the room. Â Vasquez was one of the best fighters they had and a crack shot. Â If anyone could short-circuit Leslie with Winnâs new weapon, she could, better than even Alex could. Â Kara knew this and requested she be pulled off the mission anyay. Â She wouldnât be able to explain it to Jâonn or Alex later, but she and Vasquez had started something, months ago, that Kara had never really let go of. Â Â Â
Sheâd taken her dancing, cheered her up, almost kissed her⊠then sheâd been reassigned.  Whisked from Karaâs life as fast as sheâd come.  They hadnât spoken of it since her return, but Kara badly wanted to find a way back into Susanâs life, maybe into her heart.  Her protective instinct kicked in, and she couldnât bear the thought of Susan going out into the field, against her nemesis and not coming back in one piece.
Jâonn paid no heed to Karaâs request. Â âI need Vasquez in the field, Supergirl. Â Sheâs our best bet to get a good shot off and take her down. Â Stanford is more than capable of running tactical with Schottâs help.â
Kara didnât argue, but met Susanâs angry, flashing eyes across the table and plead silently for forgiveness. Â
âLetâs move,â Jâonn ordered.
A burst of superspeed put Kara in front of Vasquez. Â âSusan, let me explain.â
âNo need, Supergirl. Â I have work to do. Â Weâll debrief after the mission.â Â She managed a half-smile. Â âGood luck, Girl of Steel.â
Karaâs heart sank, but she let Vasquez pass and ran to the balcony to take flight.
XX
The mission was a success, thanks to Vasquez. Â Kara distracted Leslie, took a few painful shocks that made her feel like her strong Kryptonian heart had been stuck in a blender on pulse. Â But it was all the time Susan needed to hit her with the neutralizing weapon and for Lucy and Alex to swoop in and lock her down. Â Kara had decided then and there that she never wanted to play âbaitâ again.
When sheâd arrived back at the DEO after a fruitless conversation with Leslie in the Science Divisionâs metahuman lockup, she asked after Vasquez.
âShe left fifteen minutes ago,â Lucy said, eyebrows raised. Â âShe seemed pissed, not that I blame her.â
Kara groaned and took off from the balcony again. Â She landed on the roof of an old renovated warehouse not far from her own loft. Â She climbed two floors down the fire escape and rapped on the tiny window looking into Susanâs galley kitchen. Â âSusan, let me in. Â Please?â Â She knocked again.
A stony face came around the corner and crossed her arms. Â Only one person in the city would dare visit her 5th floor window in the middle of the night. Â âWhat do you want, Kara?â Â There was no sign of Susanâs pretty, self-assured smile or the cheeky dimple that went with it. Â She was stoic and cold, but she popped open the window and allowed Kara entrance.
Kara wasted no time.  âIâm really sorry.  I donât know what I was thinking.â  She began pacing the tiny kitchen.  âI know what itâs like to be attacked by Livewire and I had this vision of you being hit with one of those bolts and I donât know I just⊠I freaked.â
Susan shook her head. Â âThat makes no sense, Kara. Â Alex and Lucy, they were in the same danger.â
Kara shrugged and let her hands flop at her sides. Â âI canât explain it.â
Susanâs face twisted into a confused frown and her voice came out as a whisper. Â âI thought you didnât want me.â
A wave of Supergirl bravado raced through Kara and she advanced on Vasquez, backing her against the kitchen counter. Â âI want you alive. Â I want you breathing and smiling and flirting with me.â Â She brought a hand up and stroked the corner of Susanâs mouth where that dimple appeared when she smiled. Â âI want you to take me dancing like you promised and I want you to finish what we started that night.â Â Kara realized her proximity may not be entirely welcome so she took a single step back, but she held Susanâs gaze. Â âI want you, Susie. Â I just donât want you hurt.â
A smile spread across Susanâs face. Â The dimple made an appearance and Kara felt something in her chest burst. Â Rao, she was beautiful. Â Then Susan reached up and wrapped a single hand around the back of Karaâs neck and pulled her down until their mouths met. Â Susan kissed like she fought, with strength and surety and single-minded focus that made Kara weak. Â She wrapped her arms around Susanâs waist in an effort not to melt into a puddle on the floor as she deepened the kiss and released a relieved little whimper against her lips.
They parted eventually and they both smiled as they pressed their foreheads together. Â
âWow,â Kara breathed.
âThat was a long time coming.â Â Susan brushed an errant curl from Karaâs eye and brushed a thumb across her bottom lip. Â Kara nodded. Â âI want you to stay.â Â
Kara chuckled and kissed her again. Â âI want you to let me.â
