so i know this really only applies to yj!wally but i love how he was just  like.  a normal kid.  and then one day decided “ya know what i wanna be a  hero” and then he just .... did it.  gave himself powers and went and Did Some Good.  like everyone else has these tragic backstories or “i was chosen so i Have to do this” but nope, not Wally.  he’s just a really good person

The Brown family didn’t have a lot of pictures and of the few they did, only one had Arthur in it.

Steph hated that picture.

It was of her parents’ wedding day and her mom couldn’t even bear to look at it. It was buried away in a drawer in her nightstand. Steph had found it on accident while looking for her mom’s glasses. When she found it, she had seen her father’s face for the first time in almost two years and it had taken all of her self-control not to retch.

Steph wanted it out of her house.

It had been two weeks since she had found the photo and she’d struggled to figure out what to do with it.

She had mentioned her dilemma to Tim who had said, half-joking, “Burn it with fire.”

So that’s what she was going to do. She didn’t want Arthur Brown’s likeness in her house and she doubted her mom did either. So she took the picture and she took one of her mom’s lighters and she lit it on fire, watching as the flames made their way through Arthur’s face. She waited until the picture was almost fully gone before throwing the still flaming photo into the toilet and flushing.

“Goodbye for good, you bastard,” Steph said. “I hope you burn in hell.”
