it just hit me that supernova! tobirama has never had his feline features pet by a human (presumably) because none of his family members have opposable thumbs and his other interactions with humans have been short and/or traumatizing. he's gonna get scritched behind his ears by madara and become fixated right back lmao
Yes!! Madara will ABSOLUTELY be introducing him to new stimuli soon (i have PLANS for chapter 23) and I'm so excited to write it. I love the idea of Tobi being so expectant for human touch to be negative and Madara being the first person to introduce him to the fact that that's not all there is. He will DEF not be the only person to show Tobirama affection in that manner, but I think there's weight in the fact that Madara will be the starting point.
This week's chapter (and perhaps some others) is going to be a definite change of pace, which I hope will go over well with everyone. The epistolary aspects of this fic are very important and we've finally hit the part where they really come front and center. So, as always, here's a sneak peak for y'all :)
