This is what winter in my part of Canada looks like. You will notice a dearth of snow, ice, and sled dogs. We have our own winter beauty - a quiet, chilly beauty. We don’t get much snow here, and we mostly live in a state of grey dreariness from November until February. The trees have lost their leaves, it gets dark by 4:30pm, and everything is wet. While other parts of the country are turning into a snow fest winter wonderland, in Greater Vancouver, we have this. It has its own beauty. This morning’s Sunday morning walk was along the local dyke, while it drizzled, and the sky was grey, but it was so beautiful and refreshing to walk along the farmland, while the geese and dogs and chickens enjoyed the damp morning.
