I've been re-reading mockingjay and catching fire, and the relationship between katniss and johanna is so similar to violet and imogen I did a double take
both reluctant allies who secretly like each other but one refuses to admit it. They've both survived trauma together. They train together. They make jokes about dying. One is older and seen as more bitter, with lots of sarcasm and dry humor. The other is younger and newer to the trauma, deadly, but is the more levelheaded, and extends an olive branch to the other.
