The hammer on the right fires the forward load on this Civil war Lindsay two shot rifled musket.  Pull the trigger a second time and the left hammer fires the load in the back...at least that is the theory.  These rifles were used in battle for a single day before being withdrawn.

Bullets cast for the Walch 10-shot (5 chamber) revolver.  The idea was that two shots were loaded into each chamber and you filled the grooves with grease to keep the discharge from firing the forward round from setting off the back rounds.

On this Walch revolver there twice as many percussion nipples as there are cylinders, so you better load each cylinder twice.
