while he would normally show his softer sides to his beloved, there was nothing taesoo could do to hide the anger he felt in that moment, blood boiling under the apparent calmness on his features. they had never been the type to raise their voice when they were angry  —  no, taesoo's anger was the quiet type, the kind that only showed through the violent fire in their gaze, ready to raise hell to make them pay. the way he held harper close, however, was the complete opposite of that  —  there was a sweet gentleness to it, touches soft yet insistent, as if he was trying to make sure that harper was really there, that he was okay.

taesoo took a moment to settle down after hearing that, eyes closing briefly as he took a deep breath. he didn't want his lover to see just how angry he really was, but no one knew how to read him the way harper did. when he opened his eyes once again, taesoo's expression was serious and tone firm as he responded.  " good. "  such a simple word, yet it dripped with sarcasm and venom.  " that way i know exactly who i have to deal with and make sure their hands never touch you again. "  even if he had to break them.

there was one thing that mattered more now, however  —  harper's wellbeing. they had time to deal with the people who did this, after all. there was no escaping it, sooner or later they would find out exactly why people were scared of bin taesoo.

one hand moved to gently cup his cheek, softness and concern breaking through the anger for a moment, even if not entirely.  " but first, how are you feeling?  where does it hurt?
