archies powers would work brilliantly if they (like i originally thought they were going to) made his drawback it not working when he doesn't expect the attack, which ties in with his history of being groomed and the almost naivety he maintains. it would pull on the paranoia we see in s2 after frank is shot

jugheads work as a link to him being the narrator, in s1 we hear him write himself out of the narrative (on the outside it would look like four people in the booth but I was there and really there were three) so his powers give him the ability to hear people's thoughts (laughably a comment on 'how did jughead know that' when he writes events he wasnt included in djkdk) but can't engage the same way because he's deaf forcing him to take this position in the real narrative

veronicas work with her own perception of herself (supernatural voice: the very touch of you corrupts) and how she's been made to believe kissing her and being around her too long will kill you, its a horrible power but feeds into her insecurity that she is toxic

but bettys? it validates the worst of her detective work (like deciding the sheriff did something wrong so she goes straight to him to accuse him) by letting her know when someone has bad intentions. we see the problem when she takes archie to talk to the person killing in hospitals without any kind of fbi process,,,,, the drawback of not seeing it around people w the serial killer genes means nothing like sure its scary bc of her fear of being evil but that isn’t a new thing in the show, it brings up nothing new

but i need you all to know that i dont draw sequels. i am like meryl streep in this way. not because i'm pretentious but because i'm brain damaged (gen) and i regularly completely forget about stuff i've drawn in the past and expanding on it in any way.

this, however, can be subverted trickily by a simple loophole. send me a request in my ask box and i'll probably draw it. if you like my art and want more just ask. you don't even have to beg. you can just say heyyyy can you draw the doctor crucified or something like that and i will.
