I recently found Buttercake N Cream on hungrygowhere.com and it's good reviews got me craving to try out their recommended desserts. I can tell you one thing about Singaporeans, and it's that Singaporeans never lie when they bother taking time to give good reviews.
I went with my boyfriend and we ordered the classic tiramisu and warm chocolate pudding. While waiting to be served, I noticed that they had their confectionery supplies ready on the shelves for production. Hopes went up knowing that the desserts were made there! The presentation of their desserts were really pretty and my taste buds were certainly not disappointed!
Being an EPIC failure at baking tiramisu cakes, I am in admiration of anyone who can make tiramisu cakes. To me, tiramisu cakes need to have that mixed taste of brandy and espresso soaked into the cake. The taste was just right for me though it could have been chilled a little more.
The warm chocolate pudding is really smooth and thick. These terms kind of contradict right? But no, the texture was really smooth and the thick chocolate taste just kicked in nicely with the pudding. In addition, the vanilla bean sauce and ice cream complimented the dessert as we finished it clean.
Besides the desserts, Buttercake N Cream offers beverages and main course. It's a must-try and I'll be going back for more soon.
