Is it harder to get to NYC or to leave it? I've been thinking a lot lately about that place and how it stands in proxy for our great dreams, hopes, fears. Even for natives a city pregnant with meaning but for cornfed Midwesterners for immigrants for every small-town kid who dreamed of being an artist or a writer. More so. If you live day in and out in the same clothes how can you know, what else fits? A light shines brightest in the dark but brighter if there are more lights and they blink and you dance around in them. A few quick shots from @sunscinema birthday and there are still a few more I have always hated taking photos when people were looking I've always hated to be watched doing anything. Even though I lost my fear of public speaking a decade ago and I lost my interest in what other people think before that. Maybe it's a unique kind of performance anxiety that holds me back.
