17: Who delivers messages? Does your clan have a courier?

Depends on who's asking, if you want something not fragile to go somewhere as fast as possible Macchi is your go to, and Shyllantham is also usually up for the task if need be! If it's for maple syrup or other maple syrup related products then Ganix will gladly make deliveries too!

22: Who, in your lore, is the oldest dragon in your lair? What about the youngest?

ShadowStar's probably my oldest, she's a grandma baker who always has some cookies in the oven for you! And Chalco is the youngest, she's still a small hatchling! Protect her at all costs.

24: Who is the laziest dragon, and the most hardworking?

I have many hard-working dragons in my lair, but for this ask I'll put SunPalm in the spotlight! She works tirelessly as a sentry and guard, while also making sure to apply herself in other ways during her freetime! Meanwhile Galena spends most of his time "working" asleep in the sun, you wouldn't BELIEVE how relaxing the sound of waves and the warm sun are when you're just looking at fishies.

26: Which dragon is your best dressed?

ALL THE SKYDANCERS (and varoara she deserves recognition) This lair has too many skydancers, but then again this is a wind lair so bite me

☾ - sleep headcanon

They definitely stuggle to sleep some nights, it used to be because of actual pain but that’s gotten better, but the sight of seeing their ship ablaze is not a good memory, and haunts them. Good thing sunpalm is there for them!

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon

For some reason I feel like I answered this before but I might be misremembering.

7. What does your lair look like? Go into detail.

I’m imagining it very rustic, probably slightly german in style based on the fact that I’m german, walled off by fences of tied bamboo with three entrances, one is the main way leading up a cobblestone path into the central marketplace, one leading in from left when standing at the central entrace, leading down a side path to the beach, and another one on the right side of town which leads into the depths of the surrounding forest, aswell as the far plains of wind. There isn’t much technology I think beyond some basic things except for when it’s needed in lore, everything is still very simple and old fashioned

22. Who looks after hatchlings? The parents, or a general hatchling-sitter?

Generally the parents though theres a few dragons that take turns based on their availability but generally theres always at least two dragons around to care for the young, Nushe and SunPalm like to take care of the kids because while they’re not ready to have any themselves they do like the less invested nature of taking care of other dragons’ kids.

Others include ShadowStar, Cobalt (rarely), Autumn, Sorbet, Andromeda, and Yoro occasionally!

57. Funniest dragon?

That’s a matter of opinion, I think Lyre is probably most well received?

Outside of her musical performances she’s a very energetic and expressive dragon and she tends to lighten up any room.

Also definetly Shyllantham!

She’s the one who will most definetly lighten your mood anytime, bad emotions are not in her repertoire.

73. Pick two dragons and talk about their relationship.

ooh hmm!

Maybe ShadowStar and Andromeda, they’re both bakers with slightly different specializations, ShadowStar is more of a general goods baker who supplies stuff like bread, day to day pastries, and other high quality consistently tasty things, where as Andromeda is the one who’s more fancy, every cake she makes is made to order, every cupcake is carefully decorated for the occasion, and the things she does make regularely cycle weekly.

♡ - romantic headcanon

Due to originally being a guard of a city that nushe frequents and being “tasked” to join their travels to assure safety she definitely has a certain obligation to watch over nushe as best she can, nushe tries to get her to be less protective because they really don’t need it anymore but she won’t have it.

☯ - likes/dislikes headcanon

She’s got a bit of a sweet tooth, but only for a few specific things that would’ve been picked up at certain locations on their trade route and she’d always stock up on it whenever she could. Luckily traders come through new moon so occasionally she’ll find some of those specialties in their selection, and buys up almost all their stock. For example a region in arcane produces a type of rock candy that has a really fuzzy taste due to being embued with magic, and while it’s horrible for the teeth it’s great. In shadow you can find a gooey taffy that is black as night, fittingly called Shadowbinder’s Tears, it’s almost like a liquorice, very tasty in small quantities! She’s got a strange palate, that’s for sure.

She HATES when traders overprice goods at the marketplace, after being in the air with Nushe for more than two decades she has a sense for when to get mad at someone’s pricing, and will always haggle loudly. (can you tell she loves the weekly market? It’s her favourite thing after Nushe, and she loves to spend all day there peruse the wares and find find random tidbits to bring home, especially if it’s something she knows will make Nushe happy.

♒ - cooking/food headcanon

Another favourite of hers was a nut treat originated right here in wind, made from boiling together honey and maple syrup with an assortment of seeds and nuts (or bugs if that’s what you’re into!) so you can imagine she was overjoyed when Yuzu and her family moved in to produce local maple syrup. It can be made year round, and changes flavours based on what’s available.
