Another redesign? Yeah because I can and I will and no one can tell me what to do

happy home designer is really for a certain niche audience. if you enjoy creating cute, cool, unique, or whatever rooms in normal ac games, you’ll really enjoy this game, because there’s a lot of new furniture items and stuff like moving around furniture and furniture customisation is made more streamlined and easy

however, if you find the idea of designing a bunch of rooms boring, then you probably won’t like happy home designer a lot, because it’s pretty much solely focussed on the home design aspect of animal crossing. there’s no bug/fish catching, no… pretty much everything else, it’s very different from normal ac games in that time doesn’t flow according to real-life time, you dont form friendships with animals, design your own town, etc.

BUT you can still talk to the animals that you design rooms for, and their dialogue is pretty entertaining, just like other ac games, and the town develops through the facilities you design, like a school, a café, a hospital, etc.

pretty much, if you like the idea of designing rooms and houses for animals (btw most animals have their own unique theme that they want their room to be based on, so there’s some variety with each animal), designing facilities like shops and cafés, and you appreciate stuff like new cute animations for interacting with objects (like animals singing into microphones or putting on boxing gloves to punch a punching bag), then you’ll probably like happy home designer. if not, then you probably wont, because it doesn’t really offer anything outside of the house and facility designing.

i like hhd quite a bit for the aforementioned reasons, though i’m not sure if it could keep my interest as long as a regular ac game could, due to the rather repetitive nature of its gameplay (even if the furniture and themes change for each animal). but i dunno yet, i haven’t been playing it for that long haha. actually now that i think about it i wasn’t really in that room-designing niche audience before hhd but i really enjoy the designing in hhd due to how streamlined it is. idk
