It starts with Remus knocking on Rosechaser's door after a fight with Sirius. Not sure what the fight was about, and not sure what Sirius said/did but it was unforgivable to Remus.

Evan opens the door to Remus while James is in the kitchen cooking/finishing up dinner/tea. Remus is apologising if this is a bad time and asking if he can come in. Of course Evan lets him in and calls through to let James know that Remus is here.

James is confused but welcoming, obviously. both, James and Evan, are also worried and asking if everything is okay, Remus just shakes his head saying he had a really bad fight with Sirius but doesn't want to go into detail about what was said/done.

Obviously they respect that and they invite Remus to join them for dinner/tea. Remus once again apologizes for interrupting but they make it clear that it's okay and James makes more than enough food every time he cooks anyways.

Then, after sometime while eating the door knocks and it's clear it's Sirius. Remus freezes and tells them he really doesn't want to see Sirius right now.

(I apologise for how bad this dialogue section is going to be, it roughly stays the same but I always forget exactly how it happens and I may be missing lines in-between)

James decides to go to the door to make his leave.

"now's not a good time pads"

"so he is here then, let me see him"

"no, he doesn't want to see you"

"oh, so you're taking his side then?"

"yeah, he's the one that showed up here obviously upset over something you've done"

"oh come of it, he's my boyfriend, let me see him to fix this"

"not anymore" Remus then appears behind James coming out of the front door.

"excuse me" Sirius said

"I'm not your boyfriend anymore, you crossed a line you knew would hurt me and did it anyways, I can't forgive that"

"please rem, just come home and we can sort this out"

James then steps Infront of Remus "he has already made it clear he doesn't want to see you. Just go"

Something then happens where Sirius tries to grab for James but then Evan comes through and pushes Sirius against the wall and punches him and says something along the lines of "don't ever touch him again" very angry over the thought of James getting hurt. Evan then punches Sirius again a couple times, James has to pull Evan off Sirius and tells him to go again but makes it clear not to be there early afternoon because they will be with Remus to collect some of his things, and the james grapes Evans face and kisses him to calm him down.

"Look at me Ev, I'm fine, okay"

"he tried to hurt you"

"but he didn't, look, everything's okay"

After a deep breath "okay, okay, good, but if he ever touches you again I swear I will end him"

"okay babe, you can do that"

After they all go back inside Remus apologizes for being his drama to them and for Sirius's actions. But they tell Remus it's okay and he shouldn't be apologising for Sirius and they are glad that Remus felt comfortable coming to them.

Remus thanks them again and also for asking Sirius not to be home the next day so Remus can get his stuff. He then leaves to have a shower and change for bed.

Evan and James stay standing in the kitchen and Evan hugs James apologising for his actions towards Sirius "I'm sorry I lost it on him, I told you was I going to be better with my anger but when I saw him try and grab you I saw red, I just can't stand the thought of you getting hurt"

"and you have gotten better, my love, I've seen that, I don't think Sirius would have left otherwise anyways"

"thank you for seeing that, sunshine. I just can believe Remus had to witness that, it's already been a long night for him and I probably just made it worse"

"I doubt that, if anything I think he's glad that you got him to leave"

They then stay like that, cuddled in the kitchen until Remus comes through wearing a pair of Evans bottoms and one of James tops.

James then makes tea for himself and Evan and gives Remus a hot chocolate.

The dreams then keep cutting forward to either a couple weeks or a couple months, I'm not sure when, to where Evan and James drag Remus on a night out to get him social again and they see him dance and realise they both have feelings for him, they both kinda new before hand but that moment solidified it. They did have a running "joke" they if Sirius ever messed up with Remus that they would "take" him for themselves but never realised how serious they were being.

My dream never got any further but please talk to me about this idea! Because I do have more thoughts but this is longer than I thought it would be so I apologise.

By the time the sun went down, James was sprawled across the couch, whining into his phone speaker. “Ev, I’m dying here.”

“You’re not dying,” Evan’s voice hummed through the line, low and calm as always, even though the faint crackle gave away the ocean between them. “You’re just needy.”

James groaned, throwing an arm over his face. “I am needy. And you’re not here. That’s cruel and unusual punishment.”

The bathroom door clicked open, and Remus padded out, hair damp, glasses slipping down his nose. “He’s not wrong,” he murmured, drying his hands on a towel. “You’ve been pacing like a caged animal all evening.”

“Moony,” James whined again, rolling over to face him, curls sticking up. “Help me. Evan’s being mean.”

“I’m not being mean,” Evan interrupted smoothly, and James could hear the smirk in his voice. “I’m being practical. Lucky for you, Remus is right there. Think you can share, Moony?”

Remus paused mid-step, golden-brown eyes flicking to James, then down to the phone in his hand. His lips curved into a slow, dangerous smile. “Oh, I can share.”

James’ breath hitched.

The towel was dropped, Remus’ weight sank onto the couch beside him, and a hand slid into James’ messy curls, tugging his head back just enough to expose his throat. “Listen to him, Ev,” Remus said, voice rich and low. “He’s practically vibrating.”

“I can hear it,” Evan chuckled from thousands of miles away, his voice suddenly sharp with command. “Don’t let him off easy.”

Remus’ mouth ghosted over James’ jawline, nipping at the edge of his stubble. James whined again, softer this time, the sound half-desperate.

“Needy little thing,” Remus muttered, hand tracing down James’ chest, lingering at the hem of his shirt. He flicked his eyes toward the phone. “Tell me what you want us to do with him, Evan.”

James squirmed, caught deliciously between the warmth of Remus’ body and the cool distance of Evan’s voice.

“I want him on his knees first,” Evan said without hesitation. “He always looks better that way.”

Heat shot down James’ spine. Remus tilted his chin, kissed the corner of his mouth, then murmured against it: “You heard him.”

In practice? It was three men sitting in Evan’s aggressively curated living room, drinking overpriced wine, pretending to discuss literature while James Potter completely forgot what book they were on because he was too busy being in love with both of his boyfriends.

Remus had a copy of A Little Life on his knee, glasses sliding down his nose. Evan, stretched across the corner of the sofa in a silk shirt and about four rings too many, was flipping languidly through another translation of The Iliad, because he “didn’t trust Fagles with the nuance.”

James, in a sweatshirt that didn’t belong to him (Remus’, actually), was leaning on the table between them, chin in his hand, grinning.

“Merlin’s tits, you two are hot.”

Evan didn’t look up. “That’s the fourth time you’ve said that in the past twenty minutes.”

Remus, sighing, didn’t bother to glance over. “We’re literally in the middle of discussing trauma metaphors.”

“I know, but like—” James gestured vaguely at both of them. “Look at you. One of you is talking about Greek tragedy like it’s foreplay, and the other has librarian sex appeal off the charts.”

“James.” Remus extended a hand toward him without looking. “Shut up.”

James took the offered hand, kissed the back of it, and cradled it to his chest with the softest grin imaginable.

Remus groaned but didn’t pull away.

Evan, without shifting from his lounging pose, kicked James lightly under the table. “Focus.”

James let out an exaggerated whimper. “Oww, Rosier, you're so cruel. All I want is to admire my boyfriends during literature hour.”

Evan’s mouth opened to retort—but then James tilted his head and gave him the look. Wide brown eyes, pouty lips, that earnest “you’re the best thing I’ve ever seen” face that made Evan forget how to breathe, much less form insults.

Evan’s breath caught.

James grinned wider.

“Not fair,” Evan muttered, hiding behind his wine glass. “You weaponized your face.”

“You kicked me,” James said smugly. “I retaliated with charm.”

“Stop flirting,” Remus said, attempting to yank his hand back. James wouldn’t let go.

“Impossible,” James replied, now nuzzling Remus’ knuckles. “You’re too pretty not to flirt with.”

Evan made a strangled noise. “You’re insufferable.”

“You’re blushing,” James pointed out, eyes flicking toward Evan’s ears. “And I love that for me.”

Remus dropped his book on James’ head. “Focus, Potter.”

James grunted. “Alright, alright! Trauma metaphors. Tragedy. Pain. Sadness. Lovers doomed by fate. I get it.” He paused. Then added, “Wait, is that just you two trying to have a conversation without me talking?”

Remus groaned louder this time, and Evan—unfortunately for him—laughed.

James beamed. Victory.
