hello!! i have a small art question for you... how do you figure out the poses for your cookie characters in your art pieces? do you have a definitive step-by-step process, or do you usually just imagine something from nothing?
Hi!! I usually tend to experiment and doodling a lot, which helps deciding on the final decision.
But if it helps I also pratice the artstyle with the crk characters (usually Gingerbrave) making everyday stuff, or expressing a emotion.
The artstyle is very simple so it's important to emphasize the whole as they contribute to make a clear silluete and be easier to understand.
Also no need to put all the details when doing poses, as they will clutter the drawing, it's important just to highlight the big shapes !!
This is more a me thing, but when practicing I tend to tell myself to make the poses with the least amount of lines.
Also no shame in searching references!! I myself do it from time to time πβοΈ
