kitty stepped out of the danger room with a cocky grin on her face as she made it out of the room unscathed for about the hundredth time. she’d been with the x-men for almost a year and they’d yet to make anything that could even---for the lack of a better word---phase her. she lifted her hands to quiet the non-existent clapping and cheering. “guys guys, please no autographs.” she said glancing around the room. that’s when kitty saw her, a new girl sitting in the corner of the room, seemingly waiting for her own turn for the danger room. a confused look played on her face as she looked around, trying to find anyone that could tell her who the heck the girl was. she took a nervous step towards the girl. “um-hi.” she said, sizing her up. “what exactly are you doing here? and uh-where is everyone else. you aren’t emma frost in disguise right? please tell me you’re not. last time i saw her she put me in a cage and it just wasn’t a fun time.” her eyes scanned the room looking for any signs of an apparent struggle. “you know, you look kinda like piotr. prettier than him, of course but---a lot like him. you’re not like his daughter or anything right? i know that sounds weird considering you guys look to be about the same age but you wouldn’t believe how many times i’ve met someone that’s older than their actual parents since i got to this place.” kitty babbled on. “anyway though i’m uh-kitty.” she said extending her hand as she took another nervous step forward. “you are?”
