Within the vast expanse of garden stands a lone figure, a black silhouette amongst lush greens and colorful petals. Adrian approaches, hands behind their back and amusement curling at their lips. He always sticks out like a sore thumb when he visits, here in the warmth and brightness of their home.
"Do you have a favorite flower by chance, Mr. Hunter?"
D's aloof gaze hovered over the botanical assortment of the rows, upon rows of flowers before him. There were bright playful peonies, sensual red velvet roses, and fragile white lilies. The aroma of the garden was a symphony of florals, it was enchanting, a far more welcome scent than the usual blood and death he was accustomed to.
The hunter's hand gently gripped the tip of his chin, as if he was dragged into a deep thought. He's never once thought about having a favorite flower, it's hard to choose amongst the sea of beauty of nature's bounty. So many species of plants, all with their own unique flare and names. Some D has yet to hear of.
But there was one flower the man of shadow couldn't go near. It was forbidden to his kind--and that was roses. Just touching a petal would sting and burn his flesh. Even though the rose had many admirers, this admirer could not touch it. Thorns be damned.
"If I had to choose, it would be that Wisteria tree at the end of the garden. I feel like it would suit me better...no?" D points to the tree, its long cascading branches covered in pastel lilac petals swaying in the breeze. In the language of flowers, the wisteria symbolizes, resilience, longevity, and luck. Something far more suitable for the hunter than a single rose.
