before 

rory was raised by her mother, though she uses the word raised lightly. it wasn’t that her father didn’t want anything to do with her, but it was more so that he mother didn’t know who the father was.

rory comes from a small city. not raised in the best part of it. 

her mother worked long hours, almost never home, but always had a man home when she did make an appearance.

rory learnt to be independent from a young age. got a job as soon as she could. she saved and saved. got good grades. graduated on time.

she tried to be as clean cut as possible in hope it would make it easier to get into school in a bigger city and get a job faster.

that’s how she ended up in seattle. she attended a year long course and got the job not long after. 

she likes her job. she’s very organized. 

when it happened

rory was on her way to work when it happened.

blinked and the next moment the world was dark.

power still worked, so she went to work as usual, but noticed that the sun never came back.

it didn’t take long for the firm to close once they caught wind of what was happening.

she hadn’t spoken to her mom in years, but sent a text checking in. she still hasn’t received a response. 

she started researching as much as she possibly could the moment it started. 

she quickly sold her things, packed up, and started her journey to make it back home - all the way on the other side of the country.

she moved every couple of days before running into the group. 

she’s sure she’ll find her mother one day and is holding onto the hope she is still alive.

Jasper is the oldest of two children. always super protective especially to younger kids it wasn’t much of a surprise when he announced his intent to become a pediatric nurse. He was never happier than when at work with his now late fiance, James, who worked as an ER surgeon at the same hospital.
