And It Shall Be Turned into Darkness

There is no need to look for craters here as this is the sun and not the moon. This was a rare glimpse of the London sun, fighting through the sudden rain clouds. Caught it just before it disappeared entirely.
Even then, to avoid getting the sun blown out, aperture had to be closed down to f22 (the maximum that the lens would allow) and the exposure had need to be biased 4 stops darker. Noise was added in post to give it a raw, textured look.
