August 5 marks the last day of our summer internship programming, and we’re going out with a 💥bang💥. All interns and emerging professionals are welcome to join our Intern Convening from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm!
Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to join conversations exploring the role of museums and how we can continue to shape the field in the future. Newcomers and leaders alike will engage in art experiences in the galleries, exchange ideas about evolving our roles in museums, and take part in career workshops.

Day 6/40 #40daysofproductivity
Last 2 days have been exciting. I applied fot internship and got shortlisted for an interview. If selected in final round I will get to go to Japan which is kinda exciting. So I have been busy preparing for interview. Lot to work on now as the final round is going to be about my tech skills. I will be applying for webD and programming.
So today I started solving PDE's,more specifically the heat equation. Also read few pages of "The Sellout". Attended few lectures and learned a bit about filters in seepage control in Soil Mechanics.
I finally think I am making a little progress,one step at a time. So yayyyy!

1st Day as an Intern!
Day One 6/17/2019
Today, I finally had the chance to sit down and really discuss in detail what my duties and responsibilities will be for the next eight weeks. I initially interviewed with Jason, our district manager, and Andrew, the store manager, but today I spoke with Andrew one on one and got a much better idea of what I am going to be doing during my time as an intern. When I first arrived, I was nervous, of course, but there were four binders and notepads set up in the training room, so I learned that I was not the only intern. This made me really excited to meet the others and grow with them! Myself and the other three interns spoke to Andrew for a while discussing our expectations, what the training process is going to look like, how we should go about becoming a leader, and what to expect from the internship kickoff on Wednesday. One of the interns, Lindsey would soon become one of my best friends! :) We had a lot of online training we had to get a head start on, and we also had the opportunity to speak with some of the assistant managers about what they do at Kohl's. Now that I have met my co workers for the next 8 weeks, and have a much more clear understanding of what I’m going to be doing, I could not be more excited for the weeks to come!
