#summer eights

Was talking to a group of my male rowing friends about Summer Eights and other boat clubs that we had crew dated. One of them made a reference to the “inverse law” which apparently says that the more successful a woman’s boat is the “uglier” their members.

I objected to the comment and they attempted to remedy the situation by implying that our boat was bumped down a position this year which according to the “law” made our crew’s members more likely to be attractive. Needless to say this was not much of a consolation.
