Active Recall vs. Passive Recall Part 2
Here are some examples of doing active recall.
Summary Sheets - Use these for your benefit. What I mean is that when you make a summary sheet, you should only be looking at your notes at the same time because that would just be copying your notes, which is useless. What you what to do is take a piece of paper and write down everything you know about the unit, topic, or module and when you are done, you look back to see what you have missed and that would be what you would study more.
Flashcards - I usually use paper flashcards instead of online oness because writing them down will help. I used to never want to create flashcards because they were just too time consuming, but honestly, they help. Just keep going and you’ll make it there. I don’t advise you to make flashcards the day before an exam, because you might be spending an all-nighter just writing stuff on a card.
Spider Diagram - What you can start doing is but down the title of your unit in the middle of the page, but subtitles in the corners, and write everything you know about it. You can also look at examples online.
Teaching - Yes, I know that not everyone is a teacher here and it is extremely awkward for you to find your family members look at you because you are trying to study for an exam by talking to yourself or your stuffies. This is help tremendously and maybe you might want to become a teacher!
Practice Tests - These are the most important. Sometimes you can’t find a practice test only for the thing you study, so try making one instead and put it away for a few days, then try doing it! Try to make it hard so that you think about it. There are so many tests online that would be a great help to you.
These are literally the only study techniques that I use and they have been extremely helpful!
