Sorry, if you've gotten this question before, but how do you do your mixes? I've been trying, but I'm having a really hard time separating the vocals, so the music doesn't sound so bad when they sing together. Your mixes are really great!
Believe it or not, I’ve actually never gotten this question before, so I’m more than happy to answer! Truth be told, I actually don’t separate the vocals at all, sweetie!Â
What I do is take all the solo mixes of the songs I’d like to mix together, sync them up as perfectly as I can in Audacity, and mess with the bass, treble, and overall volume of each track so that it blends together seamlessly. (It isn’t seamless at all, but I do try my best, haha). Through normalizing the solo mixes to the levels i’d like, cutting and splicing them where I can, and fading them into each other when necessary, I can usually make some pretty boss mixes.
