     "yeah..” she could only reply with a shrug, hoping that it would be enough for a reply. it was the only reply she could manage, after all. she was obviously out of it, out of her usually joyous and bubbly self — but who could blame her? soeun had been staying up night after night due to projects and whatnot, and she was almost seeing the end of it: the light at the end of the tunnel. with her chin rested on her palm, she then heaved a sigh. “and i also know that it’s bad for me if i don’t keep my grades up, unnie. i can’t lose my scholarship. besides, it’s only until this week..” she trailed off, almost nodding off to sleep. 

He wasn’t. Any other accusations she could come up with he could refute. He doesn’t comment unless asked and he doesn’t lie either, doesn’t have a need to put that much energy into his words. Truth was truth and easily slipped out even if it was harder for others. He does however, not want her to cloud herself in the doubt that has them shifting through every other dress that leaves his hands and the racks. Not because he’s tired, not because he’d rather be doing something else but because it’s weighing her face down with every choice and every disappointment. He does accommodate her request, reaching over to zip down the stress and hold up the hanger for her almost automatically. “Alright how about you tell me what you’re looking for and let me help.” It’s not a talent he bragged but it’s something he’s often heard said about himself. As it stood he was willing to help where he could.

Most if not all days she cared for others more than her own self, some would say it’s a negative habit but in her own eyes it was soothing to help another or simply ask how their day went. The older reminded her of her own sister, the one she rarely got to see due to their change of schedules at a young age. There wasn’t any negative tension between them, more of a prolonging attachment to eventually fill the missing void over the past couple of months. A delicate smile stretched across of her face nervously, shifting a strand of hair that dangled along her collarbone behind her. “I do, unless you don’t want me to or want to go alone then it’s fine. Usually going alone anywhere is a bit unsafe isn’t it?”

“which is why, we’re skyping right now,” the male rested his chin on the heel of his hand. it’s rather unusual for him to receive a skype call from someone in the middle of the night, but, from her? it’s something new. female. looking for someone to talk to in the middle of the night. the two factors rang a bell in his head. “is something bothering you? i’m all ears.”

“your nose is as red as rudolph’s.” the female let out a weak groan and buried herself under her blanket, sniffling and rubbing her nose before shoving her hand out to blindly reach for the tissue box. “i doubt rudolph felt like he couldn’t breathe. can you turn the heater on and help me find my tissues–”
