It's funny to me how people are trying to project their own favorites on their so called favorite character - in this case Azriel, whereas said character tells the audience that he's attracted to Elain, he's yearing for her and he's angry because he believes it can't happen. Yet people on here try to put themselves up front totally ignoring his chosen love interest. Also it's ironically funny that so called "Azriel deserves happiness" crowd now is so against his source of happiness and peace, which in his mind is Elain...

They both have chosen each other, they both have demonstrated intent and emotions, but people will happily overlook it and say they have 3 scene lmao... Obviously everyones shipping tastes are completely their own, and valid. But it is funny to me that a crazy amount of the tropes, lines, general Elriel things that have been hated upon for years are now being used for his other ship and its cute with them hahaha It doesn’t make sense xD
I give up trying to understand fandoms though, to each their own, I am enjoying my beautiful babies. ♡
