Alex let out a soft sigh as she lifted her body up slightly and rested on her elbows. She used the back of her hand to sleepily rub at her eye as she watched Nicolas slowly move and lift himself from bed. She didn’t bother looking at the time knowing well enough that was sometime in the early morning as he often liked to wake up this early. She reached out and grabbed at his hand, lightly tugging on it until he turned to give her his attention.

Even though Alex was learning sign language and trying her best to communicate with him in that way, she still struggled especially when he would sign as quickly as he would with someone who knew better. She pouted slightly when she saw how happy he was to see her struggling a bit as she tried to mirror the movements he had done with his hands. few people would visit will graham willingly; after all, he isn't known for being especially friendly and people don't find he makes good company. beverly is the exception. she is always welcome at wolftrap, though will hasn't exactly said so. he merely doesn't run her off.

the house is inviting enough, though. so are the dogs. wolftrap is a peaceful place, and will's little farm house is warm, comfortable. and truth be told, will likes her company: needed it after the day they'd all had. the case was going nowhere. and will was feeling hopeless.
